Yeah ok, those are going in my cart, thanks
My current headset is a "gaming" headset I bought a while ago and it's falling apart. I bought a desk mic when this one's mic broke, so i'm looking for a pair of headphones now. I can spend about 70-100 dollars. Not looking to go over. I'm going to be playing a fair amount of games and watching TV and movies. I also listen to a lot of genres, so I guess I'm looking for something pretty rounded out, rather than excelling in one category. I read the OP and was looking at these: http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDR-V6-Monitor-Headphones-Voice/dp/B00001WRSJ
What do you guys think?
Budget: 70-100USD
eBay: Preferably not.
Country: USA
Isolation: Doesn't matter.
Purpose: Gaming, Movies, TV, Music, everything.
Music Tastes: Instrumental, Vocals, Rock, House.
Previous Experiences: Plantronics headsets, never again.
Comments: Above text.

How are they? Reviews say good but quiet.
._. so if I were to get a pair of Sennheiser HD205-II, would it work well with my iPod touch? I'd also use it for my computer, so would it be somewhat bad or just horrible.
Received my pair of Sennheiser 280 PRO's today. Sound is awesome. Hope I can get a soundcard soon.

Ah ok thanks, a friend said to be wary with them.
How so? They have a reputation for being extremely difficult to damage.
If you mean in terms of what sound they'd be making, from what I hear they're headphones that perform decently as all-rounders.
I'm currently using a Sony MDR-Q55 and am thinking of buying the Sennheiser HD201 to replace it when Christmas sales roll around. I will mostly be playing games, listening to music and watching videos/movies with them. I already have a microphone and as such I don't need a full headset. How are they?

Just that the iPod wouldn't power them properly
Budget: $60

Mind waiting until Monday? I just bought a pair. I could tell you then.
I just bought these after my old Sony MDR-XB300 headphones got crushed. Out of the box, these are very impressive and monstrous headphones. They have 50mm drivers and extra deep bass ports.
Pros: Bass is 10/10 (for headphones), audio clarity is 9/10. Very comfortable. Only $43 on amazon!
Neutral: They have solid-rubber bumpers on the sides, which look cool but otherwise useless IMO. They also have an extra-durable 2mm-thick cord (Good if you would wear these while doing an activity).
Cons: Some parts look a bit cheaply built, but nothing worth worrying about.
Overall: INCREDIBLE for the price! I highly recommend these.

And when I say monstrous, I MEAN monstrous. The "domes" are almost 4 inches wide, 2 inches thick.

those are relatively small and that cord is thin as shit
I used my friends JVC xplodes or whatever theyre called, I hate them soo much, so uncomfortable, my razer headset sound better, extremely fragile cord and they feel very very plasticy.
Also are the Sennheiser HD 448's any good?
I have them and yes the quality is amazing. Only problems are that there is absolutely no sound isolation, if you're going to be travelling with them I would look elsewhere. They are also quite light on your head which may sound like a good thing, not when you're walking it isn't.
Overall though they are very good, especially for £50.
Got my Denon D1100

Isolation is fucking awesome.
Budget:£50 - 60
eBay: Don't mind.
Country: United Kingdom
Isolation: Not really needed, would be a nice bonus.
Purpose: Gaming, Music and the occasional film.
Music Tastes: French House, DnB, Dubstep
I really need some headphones.

Bass really rumbles when listening to dubstep but isn't overpowering.
Thanks guys. I'm gonna go try those 2 out at the local audio shop.
Turns out my brother also wants headphones. Same price range just he only listened to electronic music.
