god shutup, you don't know shit about him and I know for a fact he's tried much better and a wider array of cans than you have or possibly ever will
his english is terrible but it's easily understandable
I have tried dt 48, dt770 except one cup works, dt 880, dt 150, hd 650, hd 555, xb 500, t50rp, m 50, k701, ultrasone pro 900 and hfi 580 and some other proline and i can't remember anymore as well as spending £500 on a meier stagedac and over £900 on amps.
The t50rp is my preferred headphone for now out of the headphones i have tried they sound nice.

case in point
Oh wait the hifiman he 4 as well, audiophile is very expensive.
Every single can i own except the t50rp sounds different in the placement of the drivers and such, the t50rp sound odd it makes normal songs sound more virtual and that is how i like it and the best i can describe it to you and because of this people on headfi would agree about it sounding as like if you were there.
Could you explain what you mean a bit more? I don't think I understand.
Could you explain what you mean a bit more? I don't think I understand.
he says the t50rp makes things sound very real and the soundstage is fantastic
it takes like all of 5 seconds to read his post and piece together any bad grammar, c'mon
Right, so I've read more than what's there as opposed to less. My bad.
Also, I wish self-rating was re-enabled, if only for the dumb, late and disagree ratings.
I've mostly found out that CMSS-3D won't help me for newer games and degrades the quality annddd that a really quality source/DAC would provide me with much better positional sound since it's not lost in the muddy onboard digital to analog conversion... I originally wanted a Tit-HD, but my system simply won't house it.
SO...
I use Denon AH-D2000 and want a nice desk amp that I can have infront of me to plug my headphones into. Any ideas? I guess it can be coaxial optical so I can plug it into my onboard. I have no idea what I'm looking for. Under 200 probably.
What is the absolutely cheapest sound card I can possibly get my hands on that has coax digital out?
I'm using optical from my motherboards intergraded to the control pod of my z-5500 sound system which acts as a rather nice DAC and amp. Problem is there's tons of bugs, largest of which is probably that when nothing is being transmitted it sort of drops the link between my computer and the pod, so when some sound does come the first ~0.5 seconds of it is completely cut off, something that is insanely annoying and that no amount of driver updates/reinstall seem to fix. Using 3.5mm plugs leads to some degradation in sound quality, it's not massive but I notice it.
I'm only assuming here that there will not be any quality degradation using coax as even if the sound card i use is shit, it's still entirely digital. Right?
So again, what is the cheapest sound card money can buy in this country that has coax out?
If there's any chance the Z5500 is causing it, spend a little bit more on a sound card and use 3.5mm output - you might even get better sound quality.

If you want positional audio, Dolby Headphone/CMSS-3D may make things sound like shit but they actually do create a positional effect, unlike picking headphones output ingame which might as well be a pair of stereo speakers in my experience (with an ad700+xonar dx). Though I have given up on virtual surround as it's just so much hassle turning it on and off as well as dealing with mumble cutting out and/or getting super loud. So don't expect much of a positional effect, but you will certainly get better quality.
The headphone the way it is made and tweaked goes extremely well with virtual recording such as virtual hair cut other headphones can't do this as well.
Does that make sense?
The way this t50rp sounds, sounds exactly like the way virtual haircut sounds except the t50rp it self does the same effects, a sound engineer would of understood this.
You have not heard the t50rp.
Is English your first language?
also on another note
HD 201s for best sub $20 cans EVER
i've gotten used to them on my head and it's fantastic how comfy they are and they sound great
I owned a pair of those. They're godly for the price.
Currently got the HD 202s, equally as awesome.
Budget: $60
eBay: Only if you find a reputable seller
Country: USA
Isolation: Closed
Preferred place to buy from: newegg
Purpose: Gaming
Basically tired of my headset for gaming, I have the creative labs fatal1ty and its a great headset but in games its not really good for trying to listen for footsteps behind you or anything like that. I mainly use my current headset for music and voice recording. Also headset MIC is required, Must not be USB.
edit: forgot to add preferred place to buy from
Isolation: Preferred newegg

Anyone ordered from soundprofessionals.com before?

you linked to in-ear earphones and said you wanted earbuds
I need some earphones for listening to music on my phone. I can't stand the in-ear ones.

I'd prefer Amazon or similar that ships to Denmark.
Koss KSC75
I use them with my Nexus S and my PC, they're really nice once you get used to putting them on.
Ok so I'll ask again
For the $50 - $60 price range which are the best Sennhesiers? (or if you know a better brand, I just trust and know sennheiser)

Use amazon prices, thanks

Yes probably but I was thinking if I can find a cheap enough sound card it'll be quite a bit cheaper than even a low end sound card like the xonar dg, and I'm rather short on cash now especially with christmas coming up.
for the record I find using optical sounds splendid when the bugs aren't present.
what's up thread

My friend has those and they're great, though I don't know if they're worth that much. They're leak a lot of noise (as expected). Unless you're an audiophile though might as well go with something cheaper. My friend who has these went with those, some fiber optic media player and some converter thinger and got flaks. I couldn't really tell the difference between that and a regular MP3 to be honest.
I don't understand people who go all overboard on that. Anyways they're pretty good, check amazon they might have them cheaper (dunno about australia prices tho)
sennheisers aren't bassy, if you want bassy, Panasonic HTF600
Sennheisers are out of stock so I'll be going with these, they look good thanks for the suggestion :buddy:

they are much cheaper on amazon, as well as other american places, but i can't find any of them that will ship to australia. it seems like an american exclusive price, almost all other places outside the us they seem exponentially more expensive and there's not much i can do about that since no us stores export them
I know its kind of a stupid question since the price difference is huge but I can really only afford one set of cans for christmas. I'm looking for a pair of headphones for everyday use(Some gaming, lots of music listening) but something I can also use in a recording studio.
So far narrowed it down to either the Sony MDR V6 or Audiotechnica ATH-M50.
I can kinda guess that the more expensive ones will be better just wondering if anyone who owns them can give me an opinion on them.
If I had to choose I'd buy ATH-M50's.

I think I've dropped my PortaPros somewhere because I couldn't find them anywhere. Maybe it's time to get new pair of headphones. Even though I liked those I'd go with something smaller... maybe IEMs
With little searching, I found earphones called Nuforce NE-700X. Apparently they sound really good (review) for 60 euros and I like the design. Any opinions?
