So are razer headphones/headsets worth a damn? or is just the brand talking.
They're also complete and utter shit. Do not waste your money.

i thought so :v:
I want to ask about a head set but from reading previous posts that's not a good question to ask.

Give us a price range, we'll give you a better pair of cans and a better microphone than anything you could ever get out of a headset.

around 80-120 might go a bit above depending. Anything is better than my current headset, wire wrapped around the left head phone, desperately trying to get the right head phone to stay on while the mic hangs from a piece of string.
Is the Sennheiser HD 202 any good?
^
I owned the Sennheiser HD202s for three years before my left earphone went out the wire near the jack became loose. They were terrific starter headphones and lasted through a lot of falls and abuse. They are very wiggly and get uncomfy after a while, but they sounded great!
My POS Turtle Beach Earforce Z1s for $35 at Walmart snapped on me after 3 weeks of use and destroyed ear cartilage. Looking for a new set for Christmas.
Budget: $70 - $120
Use: 70% gaming, the rest for music and movies. Will need a mic recommendation as well. Appreciate it guys. I'm really no audiophile, I really couldn't sit here and talk about his, lows, and midranges like I know what I'm talking about. I just want something that's great for hearing my enemies' footsteps and for some great movie and music listening. My #1 concern is durability. I want these headphones to last for a couple years at least and #2 concern is comfort. I have an issue with headphones destroying my ears since they are oriented outwards and I wear glasses. Some of the larger ones that cover my ears I had problems with my ears becoming very hot and itchy. (The HD202s did this) So any help will be much obliged!
Just received my HD 595's and listened to some songs.
Holy shit. The voice-centric songs, even in Youtube quality, is amazing. It's like being in the front row of the audiance yourself. I haven't properly been able to test the other types of music yet, but for now, color me impressed. The velour pads, combined with the relatively light headphones makes you forget you're wearing them. Better keep a mental note before I walk away with whilst wearing them. :v:
I've got to ask though: Is there any difference in quality between these and the ATH-M50's, apart from open vs closed?

I have to say that they do take some getting used to sound wise. My previous headphones were either full in your ear or rather flat across the board, sound experience wise. These however feel like are rather "curved" outwards into a half-sphere. Like an orchestral assembly left and right with a bit distance between them, and you're in the middle of it. They may seem distant at first, but actually it feels like it's trying to let the sound hit me when it's supposed tp, rather than to let them instantly and completely fill my ear at all times.
Is the Corsair CA-HS1ANA any good? I'm coming from $10 ear buds that were perfectly fine with me.
I saw that it was going to be on sale as a lightning deal on Amazon. While I was waiting for it, I say that the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus was on sale for $20 and I added that to my cart as well. So when the deal came up, it was $35, so I added it and bought it. But on the receipt, the total was $35 and both the headphones and the cooler were on the receipt. I have no idea what happened.
So did I get a good deal?
Sennheiser HD218's any good?
What about the 201's?

looking at in-ears. considering the moster turbines. Is there any point getting the turbine pros if im just going to be using them with my ipod?

if you're looking at a price range like that, don't even consider the turbines
westone 2 is much better in every way and costs less than the pro by $10
if you're going to use them with an ipod, get a fiio e5 and use 320 kbps mp3s
what if i said i really dont want to be bothering with an amp, even a portable one
i basically want the best as far as not using an amp goes
Are the HS1ANA's alone at $35 a good deal?

using any of these super high end iems to listen to an ipod without an amp is stupid, it's going to sound much worse than if you used an amp
So I need a headphone stand thing. I was looking at the banana hanger method, not a fan.

This is what I'm doing now. Not a fan.
what's the point in a headphone stand
just lay them on your desk or keep doing what you're doing

alright well i just look at the fiio e5 i did not realise it was that small and cheap. thanks. could you maybe recommend something ever so slightly cheaper than the westones?
get the Fiio E6 instead of the E5
[editline]6th December 2011[/editline]
same price, improved design and sound quality
What Fiio amp should I get for desktop use? My desktops output fucking suck, but my iPhones is fine.

http://www.jdslabs.com/storeAmps.php
build yourself for $30 or buy preassembled (with or without casing) for $135/$95 respectively
basically the best amp you can buy
what phones are you using, you may not even need an amp and your statement doesn't make sense, if anything it should be the other way around
What Fiio amp should I get for desktop use? My desktops output fucking suck, but my iPhones is fine.
Get a soundcard and a E9 or E7 maybe
on the topic of IEMs
just get some $80 sennheiser/klipsch IEMs, no need for an amp and still good
sennheiser/klipsch? wat
What's with all the hate towards the G35? I've had no problems with mine ever...
What's with all the hate towards the G35? I've had no problems with mine ever...
They're cheap turds with horrible drivers rammed into them.

they'd be fine if you got them for free
