Both of you should look at Sony's XB line, XB500 or XB700 most likely.
Im liking the looks of those XB700s but since the other guy is 100% music orientated i was wondering how good they would be for gaming?
Those look cheap build quality...
They are. Don't drop them. That only happens because this little piece of plastic holds that part together. Taped it back together and everything is fine.
Budget:To somewhere around 90USD eBay: No Country: Poland Isolation: Any Purpose: Listening to music from PC/Phone (HTC Wildfire) Music Tastes: Pink Floyd, Queen, random metal songs Previous Experiences: none Comments: Plug should be break-proof (broke 5 headsets like dis).

I'm thinking about buying the Sennheiser PC 360 G4ME Headset, but before I do, I just want to know if there is there a cheaper alternative which is just as good?

What is the noise cancellation like on those Panasonic RP-HTF600-S headphones?
What is the noise cancellation like on those Panasonic RP-HTF600-S headphones?
bad
What is the noise cancellation like on those Panasonic RP-HTF600-S headphones?
nonexistent
Uh, they're closed headphones, so there is some isolation. I'll tell you what it's like tuseday, apparently my billing address was set as SOMEONE ELSES and THEY SUCK and now I have to wait untill tuesday. :( [editline]11th December 2011[/editline] yeah it's not noise cancellation, but I think that's what he meant
Noise cancellation (correct me if I'm wrong) is when the headphones destructively interfere with outside sound waves to make the sound that reaches your ears "go away." Isolation just means that sound barely gets in or out.
I like to hear the world outside of my room so if anybody gets close it doesn't scare the shit out of me.
shouldn't be dropping headphones, ever, regardless of price
Yeah, but just incase you happen to drop them a lot... Only pair of headphones I've ever had that have actually broken like that.
I've dropped my headphones few times because the cable likes to get stuck somewhere when I'm leaving my desk. K240's have really good build quality though, so they won't break easily. My old headphones, SRH440's weren't so great, although I admit not taking so much care of them. I still liked them, sound was great.
I have a Sony MDR-V150 and I drop them all the time. They're tough though so it's cool.
A friend of mines has a pair of Seinnheiser 201's - is the noise isolation on those Panasonics anything like that of the Seinnheisers? This will be pretty much my first pair of proper headphones, only ever used earphones before.
if you can hear a lot outside of the headphones, yes it'll basically be like not wearing headphones
"Your Amazon.co.uk order has dispatched" Yay! "estimated arrival date: December 19, 2011" :( Can't wait to test the FiiO E9.
My headphones are at the post office. I'm pretty happy. I'll probably see if I can get a FiiO E17 when I go over to Hong Kong in like February or something.
Are Sennheiser HD 448s any good? $50 on Newegg and was thinking about getting one
guide to headphones under $60 htf600
lol so far I kinda hate these, apparently you're supposed to 'burn them in' for a while, the bass is retarded high as is the high end. We'll see. Also, they're open, unlike what it said, so I'm confused. I may just be used to my HARX700 so I'll keep using these for a while. [editline]13th December 2011[/editline] yeah they're growing on me already so they seem pretty good, they are very open, though. HARX are 'closed' but are actually open as well, but these are much worse and let a lot of sound in. There are mods that seal them, though, for better bass (which these absolutely do not need, there is a lot of bass already) I'm probably just overly used to my HARX700, the same thing happened when I got those. I will play BF3 with them later, for now they're burning in with pinknoise on simplynoise.com

Mine got a LOT better after I let them burn-in while I was sleeping.
Alright, I know the first rule is 1. Don't buy a 'head-set', don't even consider it. Buy a desktop microphone for around $20, separately from your headphones. But is it really that bad? I would prefer a headset with a high quality mic and output sound quality wont matter too much to me though.

if you want a high quality mic get a USB condenser microphone, Samson Go Mic and Blue's Snowball are two of the cheaper options
