Well there must be some wise choice of a purchase when it comes down to microphoned headphones? If so.. plz tell me
sennheiser pc350 is the only headset even worth considering
sennheiser pc350 is the only headset even worth considering
That's just a standard Senneheiser headphone with a Zalman clip-on quality mic attached, jacked up in total around 50-70 bucks. So, it's still not worth it.
So here's my review of the Denon AHD-1100. Small note: I bought these puppies for 129 UK pounds on a massive impulse, I've had them now for about 2 months. They are now 80 in HMV and 78 on Amazon. At least I have my three year no questions asked replacement warranty. Also Keep in mind I listened to these Headphones mostly from a laptop's integrated sound card.
First off, comfort. Denon headphones are (As any person who has worn them can tell you) are one of the most comfortable headphones you can wear. But these are especially comfortable. All points of contact with your head are covered in soft, padded pleather. Bottom line is, you can wear them for hours. They isolate quite well, though some more isolation is left to be desired. But that may be from a slightly poor fit on my right ear (don't know why). Bass response is great, drums boom magnificiently without giving that feeling of being forced out. It feels quite natural, though at the expense of some detail in other parts of the music in bass-heavy parts. Soundstage is recessed slightly though it still retains some sort of definition. Not as wide as my Sennheiser 515s, for example. They can get loud as fuck though. I connected them once to my DVD player which has a lower-range DAC and amp setup and played some Iron maiden. I took them off and cranked up the volume up to maximum. They were as loud as my TV's speakers and sounded much much better even though they are incredibly easy to drive. They also dont sound muddy when played un-amped.
Overall they are great headphones, almost perfect for psychedelic music especially where a lot of things are going on at once. But, If you can get the AHD-2000 they are much better. I had the pleasure of trying them on. And they completely blow the 1100s out of the water. both in Quality and in Price. Though if you are looking for a nice slice of denon brilliance the 1100s are a good place to start.

Try and do your brother a favor and get him the ATH-M50 (Or Sennheiser 595 if he likes classical/Jazz/Rock) and let him enjoy superior sound quality with better build quality for less money.
no it isn't what are you talking about, and he asked what headset to get the pc350 IS the only headset worth getting
It's the best. I've seen it, It is the best. If I could choose a reason it's that they don't try to bullshit you with 5.1 surround and HARRDCORRE GAMURR LOOKS.
What's the difference between ATH M50's and ATH M50s's?
What's the difference between ATH M50's and ATH M50s's?
straight vs curly cord the s means straight
straight is better coiled cable is for on-the-go users but it's dumb because I wouldn't consider the M50s portable in the first place
Wandring musicians I guess.
straight is better coiled cable is for on-the-go users but it's dumb because I wouldn't consider the M50s portable in the first place
yeah this
curly cord is perfect if you enjoy being annoyed by shit that makes no sense
Curly cord is also handy if you're less than 3 feet away from your pc and you don't want to DROWN IN 20 FEET OF CABLE EVERYWHERE.
Curly cord is also handy if you're less than 3 feet away from your pc and you don't want to DROWN IN 20 FEET OF CABLE EVERYWHERE.
It's the perfect amount and my PC is 2ft away, but it has go to the back and such
So my earbuds i've been using for a year have broken. These are for my laptop though, I don't listen to a lot of music but I do watch youtube and do some light gaming on it. I've got around $30 to spend. Budget: $10~$30 eBay: I'd rather not, but I can use it Country: USA Isolation: In-ear Purpose: Youtube, Light gaming Music Tastes: I don't listen to much music Previous Experiences: Never paid a lot of attention to specific brands Comments: Sound Quality isn't very important, Durability is important, If you could find them on amazon that would be awesome
Looking for new cheap IEM's, i dropped my previous ones on the street while drunk. Well, i learned my lesson. Budget: 15$~60$ eBay: No Country: Finland Isolation: In-ear Purpose: Music Music Tastes: Melodic death metal and bands like Insomnium, Lamb of God Previous experiences: Xears TD-III were good for electronic music, just not that good for metal. Comments: Sound quality AND durability is very important. I will use them when i go bicycling/jogging/gym.
straight is better coiled cable is for on-the-go users but it's dumb because I wouldn't consider the M50s portable in the first place
or if you don't want 500 meters of cable getting everywhere when you're sat next to your computer
or if you don't want 500 meters of cable getting everywhere when you're sat next to your computer

or if you don't want 500 meters of cable getting everywhere when you're sat next to your computer
that doesn't happen? have fun having like 3/4 of the cable actually usable because any further than that is going to pull the phones off of your head
I'm not using a coiled cord right now because it's too heavy for my headphones, pulling them down.
Add the Denon AH-D2000 for the $250-$500 section. I purchased one, and even after years of abuse they still sound unbelievable. (I've spilled 2 beers in them so far so the maximum volume's been slightly decreased because the bass is now produced from 4% alcohol) At first purchase, they have a ridicoulusly clear bass at very high volumes. The leather's comfortable to the point where you forget you're wearing them, and they completely seal off your music from the world.
I love my D2000's as well, i've had mine for about 2.5 years so far. I've never used an amp on mine though.
If I can return my 595's, I'll be getting the 598's. [img_thumb]http://shop.cyes.nl/images/product_images/popup_images/sennheiser-hd-598-0-305.jpg[/img_thumb] Nothing wrong with my 595's really, but the 598's apparently, are a step up from these, and their on of the best Senns available without having to invest in an amp. If I can't return the 595's, I'm perfectly happy with keeping them. Incidently, I like the "wooden finish" look of the 598's, contrary to others.
Dem velour pads. I'll get one of those eventually.
Dem velour pads. I'll get one of those eventually.
They're super comfy. Due to the open air design they don't make your ears sweat either. Check the review of this guy at Head-fi of them. He prefers them to the much more expensive alternatives. Good sounding headphones really is personal it seems. Ah, nice. I just have HD201s and they're comfy but not for prolonged periods. Maybe 2-3 hours at a time.
That's one of the things I love about my XB-500s. It's like pillows on my head.
Budget: $150 max but can be a little over, but no more then 200$ eBay: can do but would much rather new Country: Canada Isolation: closed, and around ear, cant stand on or in ear Purpose: games, some music, sometimes will be plugged into a guitar amp Music Tastes: psychedelic rock, classical rock, metal, house, techno, electronica, so guitar centric music and synth centric music Previous Experiences: currently using a Sentry HMM20, great sound for 20$ clearance, never had anything realy good, once had a tritton AX360 and those just sucked Comments: I like bass, as its for gaming mainly I want the bass to be able to be felt a little aswell, as long as it doesn't detract from the sound quality, and microphone is a plus, but I have a decent one right now so thats fine, also jack size can be 1/4 or mini, as I can easily get adapters for the 1/4"
