Barely got any replies so imma repost:
Budget: £30. Might be able to go a bit higher
eBay: Yeah.
Country: United Kingdom
Isolation: Yes, preferably as much as possible.
Purpose: Listening to my Ipod
Music Tastes: Metal and Rock. That kind of stuff.
I'm basically after something nice and clear sounding with a bit (but not too much) of bass. Clarity is the main thing I'm after as my headphones that just died didn't have much of it. In ear is a definite.
being IEMs they will have bass and Sennheisers are great for clarity

Those are what I was using. I think I'll get them again though. Are there any alternatives?

are these headphones any good
because they're 96% off
buy as many as you can.. like right now
I bought 3
[editline]29th December 2011[/editline]
also I meant to post in this thread, but I must've posted in the wrong one, but what are the best headphones that I can get with a 200 dollar budget? I would just look in the OP, but I don't know how much this kind of stuff changes, or if the OP is updated or anything. I'm sure it wouldn't be too much effort for somebody to reply anyway
[editline]29th December 2011[/editline]
man I really hope those earbuds go through and actually arrive in the mail
[editline]29th December 2011[/editline]
In addition, if I buy these headphones with my 200 dollar budget, will I be noticing a big difference as opposed to my current http://www.amazon.com/Technica-ATH-AD700-Open-air-Audiophile-Headphones/dp/B000CMS0XU/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1325134777&sr=1-1

also, any headphones I can buy with that budget that would be an improvement over these?

Budget: $150-200
eBay: I'd prefer not
Country: US
Isolation: Closed
Purpose: DJing and general music.
Music Tastes: Mostly electronic. House, dubstep, bass-heavy stuff mostly.
Previous Experiences: I have Beats and I fucking hate them.
There's a reason this headset is so sparse in reviews weeks after its launch, and that audiophile headphone sites don't review headsets in general: They're uninteresting, average and overpriced. A nice finish and some marketing blurbs does not make it worth 50 dollars more all of a sudden. Gaming headsets are usually of mediocre build quality, and won't last long after the warranty expires. Plus, you'll have to charge the headset through a mini usb that's only a foot long, so good luck if the cable gets lost or the battery goes wonky.

Ha, I got this turtlebeach headset a bit back, it came with a thick as fuck twelve foot cable, and a bunch of other cables.
I wanna know something though. Is Bose actually any good, I mean I see them everywhere, but never have tried them out. Im using these nice little Altec Lansing speakers atm.
Budget: $80-$100
eBay: I'd prefer not
Country: USA
Isolation: Closed (over ear)
Purpose: DJing and general music and some Gaming here and there.
Music Tastes: Mostly electronic. House and Electro, dubstep, Drum and Bass, and some Jazz every now and again
Previous Experiences: I have used decent headsets, but I use professional Speakers everyday.

I was think about the A-700's
Because your guide is confusing and didnt have anything in my price range I got these.
what
the guide is literally: if your budget is roughly $x then buy these.

They're pretty good at isolation and comfort, but for the money you won't get the sound quality you should expect. They're riding on their reputation of days past to sell their products at a premium price, doesn't matter if they're worth it or not.

no there's no upgrade in the $200 price range from those

you can get those though
will I notice a big increase in sound quality?
[editline]30th December 2011[/editline]
Also, on the front page it says amp recommended, and I know nothing of headphone amps
are you saying you have AD700s? if so, no, there's no reason to upgrade from those if you have a $200 budget
yes i do have AD700s, and that is what I was wondering. The reason I asked is because frankly I don't notice a whole lot of difference between my AD700s and my dad's http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-Dyn...5136144&sr=8-1
I was just hoping that doubling the price would also double the quality, which, it is apparent that it does not.
My only complaint is that neither pair of headphones has a lot of bass response, which makes the music seem a bit, I'm not sure the word for it
It just doesn't seem as full as it does with my speaker system, having a large subwoofer. The only reason I don't use the speaker system more often is that the bass makes my desk and floor vibrate if I have the music at a decent volume (not even that loud) and everyone in the house can hear it

depends if you want open or closed
depends if you want open or closed
I would prefer closed but from what I have read the AD700's are slightly better then the A700's, Has anyone tried both?
[editline]December 28th[/editline]
And from what I have read Open headphones will provide better sound quality? Is this true between the AD700's and the A700's?
ULTRA FAST QUESTION NEED QUICK ANSWER.
30 dollar budget at most, can use Amazon. I hear Alternative rock mostly.
HELP
I was thinking about Sennheiser HD201 or Sony MDR-XD200, but I don't know shit, help!
htf600
really
I mean, It's Panasonic. Not that I know anything about headphones but still, Sony and Sennheiser sound better.
Actually unless there is a huge difference of sound quality, I'm between the two headphones that I said before + a Zalman mic.
[editline]30th December 2011[/editline]
Or another 25dollar-ish headphones
ARGHHH

HELP
[editline]30th December 2011[/editline]
I was reading page 54 I think and you recommended the HTF600 to someone with a 75 dollar budget. I might sacrifice the mic if they are THAT GOOD.
tell me why they blow my other choices OUT OF THE GAME BABY.
please.

I believe open are generally better since they don't have to deal with sound bouncing around inside the headphone cup, or whatever.

never even heard of XD200, they're probably mediocre. Go with HTF600 if you can, or go with HD201 if you can't. I have other $30-50 headphones and HTF600 are by far the best, and have a great soundstage as well.

Use a bit of eq, it's easy to get the AD700s to vibrate on your head kind of bass with incredible clarity
They take a bass boost a lot better than the HTF600, for example
Budget: Up to 200$
eBay: No
Country: United States
Isolation: Closed
Purpose: Listening to music, I'll be wearing whatever I buy in school too.
Music Tastes: Rap, hip hop, rock
Previous Experiences: Had a 40$ pair of skullcandy headphones, broke very easily.
Comments: The highest pair of headphones/earbuds I can buy is 200$. I plan on getting this: http://www.beatsbydre.com/products/Products.aspx?pid=B5800&cat=1 But I don't want to spend 200 dollars on it only for it to break a week later. I just need a good pair of earbuds/headphones that I can wear around in public. Highest I can go is 200 dollars.

Do not touch beats EVER. They are terrible.

I searched some stuff up, and most people are saying beats are kind of bad. But beats are the big thing in my school, I can't just walk around with hello kitty headphones just because they sound great haha.

Sure, just buy anything you want if you only care about looks.

You would be about 100 times better off with a pair of ATH M50's than some Beats. Also in my opinion the M50's look better.

Look up some professional reviews of them. They are complete trash.
Some of the higher end Beats sound okay, but they are way too expensive to justify the sound. Everyone recommends the ATH-M50s, but I can't really yet because I have not received mine.

You wont be disappointed by the M50's. Also, are you getting straight or curly cord?
