I have the Sony MDR-XB300 Headphones. Pros/Cons: Pros: -So fucking comfortable/squishy. -Amazing bass. -Great sound quality. -The cord isn't excessively long (It's 3 ft). -Lightweight -Not that expensive (Got em for $39 brand new.) Cons: -Doesn't look very durable, all plastic parts. (Although mine haven't broken since I got them 5 months ago.) I highly recommend them. (You won't regret it.)
Whats a good set of decent, bass heavy and durable earphones? Under $60 australian.
Whats a good set of decent, bass heavy and durable earphones? Under $60 australian.
Sony MDR-XB300 Read my post above. I know I say they don't look durable, but that's just me. Check em out.
This old AIWA RX-50 is what I'm currently using as an amp. It's big, it runs very hot and is completely unshielded so my phone makes it go mental if it comes within 50cms of it. Currently using RCA in and L/R channeled audio out. I desperately want to replace it and was looking at FiiO's A1, but it's pretty pricey. Should I save up for it (poor as fuck) or is there a cheaper alternative that still has L/R output? Basically, I need all these ports.
Separate L/R channels? What's the point?
Separate L/R channels? What's the point?
Because that's the input format my speakers take.
those arent earphones
Gah how stupid of me. I thought you said headphones.
I got a pair of Sennheiser PX100s last year and love them, though today I noticed the plastic on one side is cracking: The other side of that piece (A separate part) is fine, so it doesn't really flex a whole lot if I were to apply pressure to the outside edge. However, when wearing them (Having pressure on the inside edge), it will flex a lot due to the crack. Would it be worth trying fixing them or should I get a new pair of headphones ($30-45 CAD)?

Try some KSC75, too.
I'll try finding some sort of glue that will work with plastic. The mount isn't in the best of shape either: If you're not familiar with it or can't make it out from the pictures, it's a small metal rod coming off the back of the earpiece with a plastic ball on the end. The ball rotates in a socket, which allows the earpiece of rotate a little more than 90°, allowing it to be more flat when folding. As much as I love these headphones, I would prefer to have something a little more durable. I've only had them a year and they're starting to disintegrate. After looking at some of the reviews for the KSC75, I saw that a lot of them mention the build quality being low. If I end up buying a new pair, I would rather they last a long period of time.
I just got a pair of cheap Turtle Beach X1's. It feels like 60% of the sound is coming out of the left earphone and 40% out of the right one. Is there anyway to remedy the offcenter sound problem?

Alright, here goes: Budget: I don't wanna say as cheap as possible, but definitely no more than $35-40 Ebay? Certainly. Although unlikely, it would be nice if there was a pair I could find at a local store so I could try them out and not have to ship them Country: US (NE) Closed Purpose: Games-70% Music-30% Films-10% :smug: NOTE: They need a mic on them.
JVC HA-RX900
Thanks, but I can't find them for under $49. Also I forgot to mention they should have a mic, sorry about that.
Sorry meant, HA-RX700 that 9 came out of nowhere and i won't recommend any headsets to you because they are horrible, but HA-RX700 + a decent mic is less than $50

Otherwise I'd go with one of the derivations of a T-Amp if you can find one. The ER6i are very detailed and revealing for their price range. The only thing you might want to consider is that Etymotics are generally analytical and have a flat frequency response, so if you are looking for boosted bass, you're not going to get it. They're available for $20 from NCIX and can be had with free shipping if you are a partner. They are relatively solid and haven't given me a problem yet (I've had them for about half a year so far). Plus they come with a lifetime warranty. There really aren't very many other options in that price range, you've got to hit ~$100 before getting anything sturdier + better sounding. Well after about a month of decision making and price hunting, I finally made my decision. Heard quite a lot of good stuff about it Thanks to this(+V1) thread, got a pretty good idea of what I needed. saved quite a bit too. imo you should forget about the 515s and just save until you have enough for 555s or something
imo you should forget about the 515s and just save until you have enough for 555s or something
I would too, but my parents would go crazy if i spent that much on something this "unnecessary".
but refurb 555s are $65 :v:
I've got a pair of Sennheiser HD480s on my desk and I'm not really sure where they came from or how old they are. Anyway, does anybody have any clue how old they are, and how decent they are? I can't really find much about them on the internet.
