Well, since 2004 from when i bought my first PC ( i mean my parrents ) I kept messing around with it and experimenting. I learned friends, and later i when i got my Internet i started using Google. Alot. I kept going studying it, being fascinated, using my internet for research of course. Also never be afraid to ask something. Use your common sense aswell ...
Using the internet teached me alot.
The way I learned was building one myself and also my Dad taught me the really complicated stuff.
I learned from my Dad and by going "what does this do, oh shit so thats how that works" sort of thing. Same way a friend of mine got really good with cars and bikes.
Lol, the internetz is a kiloton of informations about everything. I wonder how we could live without it. Also you just have to learn how to use the great Google and ur like 25% smarter.
Do the research and build a computer, that's how I learned. Before I knew absolutely nothing.
http://www.tomshardware.com/us/#redir is pretty huge and well known.
Oh the nostalgia :buddy:
Practice, i started using them in school for "Special class" when i was 8, and by 9 i was better than the teachers with them. I used to get exempt from class to go help the teachers in other rooms.
My hat's off to the OP. He admits he lacks PC knowledge instead of going around and telling people made-up bullshit he got from thin air. It took me about 15 years to learn what I know now. That involved me messing up millions of others' PC's. Got me in big trouble. :frown:
now how did you go about ruining millions of pcs?
now how did you go about ruining millions of pcs?
Virtualization. :fuckyou:
Build your own PC. Seriously, while looking up parts. Comparing brands and models you might just learn something along the way.
Do things -> Hit roadblock -> Research -> Fix roadblock -> Gain valuable experience on fixing road block -> Ad infinitum repeat. How one self-learns.
I learned most of what I know from shit breaking and then figuring out how to fix it and messing with mods and 3rd party stuff for games. Yeah basically what this guy said ^
I learned everything by browsing the PC Building section. I love FP <3
Read the sites about hardware performance tests, news, etc.
consume electronics to gain their power
this guy will definitely help you understand computers imo http://www.youtube.com/user/briantwill [editline]01:29AM[/editline] oh and programming languages :buddy:
