300W I am in shock, yes it would of just fried it self through that Surge with that storm.
300 watts? So what would have fried, the PSU or something else?
Doubtly PSU
Ok, I got a multimeter. What should I set it on and which wires do I measure? Where do the red and black leads go? Walk me through it step by step, please. But I do know how to use one. Just not where to put it and stuff.

Hey yeah no. I'm not doing anything that would involve removing or rewiring something. Just tell me where to put the leads and I'll do that.

Could you please not refer to your computer as a CPU? It is like a grating noise to me that makes me cry inside. Anyways, try taking your PSU and making sure the switch on the back is turned on. Then just remove the cable to your cd drive or something and putting the multimeter in the various holes. See if you get a reading on anything. I am not sure of any way that you can actually test it without removing a cable, it is kind necessary.
Ok, I followed a guide on testing a PSU with a multimeter. I tested the purple, green, and grey wires. Here are my results: Purple was 5. Green was 4.14. and grey was .5. From what I got from it, the grey wire tells the hard drive whether or not it can boot, and for that it has to output 3-5V. And its not.

First, measurements are made with system under maximum possible load. If computer will not boot, well that is you maximum load for now. Three digit numbers must be provided. Also measure voltage on the green and gray wires both before and when power switch is pressed. Report those numbers and behavior as switch is pressed. Next measure voltages on any one of orange, red, and yellow wires as the switch is pressed. Even report if any voltage rises and then quickly falls. Every measurement is performed without disconnecting or removing anything. Anything disconnected or removed makes analysis difficult. Simply touch probes to the wires (ie inside the nylon connector). Then read numbers. When you press the switch and computer does not power - still measure as if the computer powered on. Note which wires are measured both before and when power switch is pressed. Do not even use the paper clip.
I fixed it.
Never mind. It is back. [editline]03:42PM[/editline] Shit, wrong thread :(
