Sandy Bridge - Mobile Processor February 20, 2011
Woo, in time for the April MacBook refresh :woop:
aren't these Sandy Bridge processors?
Don't think so
aren't these Sandy Bridge processors? [img_thumb]http://img203.imageshack.us/img203/6236/capturekz.png[/img_thumb]
Looking at the model number I would say yes. IIRC, all the Nehalem mobile CPU's had 3 digit model numbers and the Sandy Bridge have 4.
That's what I was thinking too, but supposedly they didn't come out yet?
Maybe it's for a computer on backorder/preorder? That had me confused also.
dont get samsung qx410 it doesnt have proper available drivers for it's graphic card and only runs blackops on low graphics shit i only get 10fps on low when im playing on my qx410 and its brand fucking new oh theres also no numpad on the keyboard for the qx410 so its not good for gaming on gmod either it does give me like 50 fps on gmod though, just not higher end games

And if so you have a nvidia 310m right? If that is correct here are the drivers for it. That is if you have 64 bit windows 7 at least, if you do not they have the driver available for other OS's as well.
Hmm.. I'm still undecided. I'm deciding between Qosimo and QX410. Also, is there a huge difference between Intel i5 and i7 core?
Don't pull an Axiom by calling a CPU a core.
aren't these Sandy Bridge processors? [img_thumb]http://img203.imageshack.us/img203/6236/capturekz.png[/img_thumb]
might be not.
Is this laptop suitable for gaming? http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/computers-laptops/laptops/asus-n53jl-sx012v-15-notebook/585799
425M is kinda lacking but everything else looks fine
Looking at the model number I would say yes. IIRC, all the Nehalem mobile CPU's had 3 digit model numbers and the Sandy Bridge have 4.
Is it true that these Sandy Bridges CPU has integrated Gpu in it? That's what I heard.
The desktop versions do, don't know about laptops there were integrated GPUs in some of the previous Core i* processors as well
425M is kinda lacking but everything else looks fine
Should I be able to run games smoothly? (Games listed in OP).
Should I be able to run games smoothly? (Games listed in OP).
Well it can run them pretty well, but the Qosimo will knock the shit out of it. And mobile i5 cpus are all dual-core. All mobile i7s are quad (in SB, with the exception of the i7-6xx series). And Mobile i7s are awesome.
Qosimo are terribly expensive in Australia. I've found a couple, but some are little or over $1000. Here's the one's I've found: Qosmio x500/00X Qosimo F60/00Y Qosimo F60/033P
You can buy a used Asus G series, like someone else said, for just over $1000.
I can't find an Asus G series. [editline]19th January 2011[/editline] Maybe something like this is good? http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/computers-laptops/laptops/dell-t561105au-inspiron-xps-15-notebook/632249
http://usa.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=8je5Ot4HBnKOdT81 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220821&Tpk=G73Jh Currently out of stock but I'm sure you can find it elsewhere $909 with a mobile 5870 Not bad.
OP is in Australia
