Usually I download mix-tapes from rap artists that they put out for free.
Respective bands' websites, iTunes, Junodownload for less popular stuff...

I'd Say but Craptasket would nuke me from orbit
I like Amazon MP3, sometimes when you order cds from Amazon they give you a few dollars worth of mp3 store credit.
iTunes. I have a free credit there... and that basically drew me in. It's not as bad as it was made out to be ._.
Rapidshare for digital copies of music I already own. Converting a file into lossless is a bitch.
AmazonMP3 Zune I honestly don't care, I go with the cheapest without DRM. Oh yeah, and a lot of my favorite artists distribute stuff free (http://pronobozo.com/ for one).

Oldschool at the CD store? :ninja:
Uhh, I'd say that's your PC, not iTunes.. I have it and it hardly slows it, and it has half the ram yours does with about 10 times the amount of songs. Anyway, for normal music listening, I'll use Spotify.
Never mind, just found out the install was half fucked up somehow. Every time I clicked to sync, iTunes crashed. Reinstalled and it isn't slow anymore.
