"2 megabytes of CPU usage per one"
With some help from the chatroom, I decided to go with a GTX 460 instead of a GTX 550 TI, because it's faster
I'm doubtful.
"Using all the CPU usage"
That's nearly a 2:1 ratio of cpu usage for every one.
I'm doubtful.
Goddamnit I'm confused and I have no clue what to get :psyduck:
Get the one with the best paint job then. It works with cars why not graphics cards?

Both are great cards, I just don't think the 460 is tangibly faster if it is.
Just get the 460, i don't know enough about the cards to give you an educated answer.
We did some benchmark comparison and while those aren't 100% correct in all possible cases, the 460 looked better in almost every way.
Cool. I'll get this Gigabyte GTX 460 then :buddy:
This one even has two fans :v:

My 580 Lightnings just shipped.
Hopefully I see them this friday. Also I'm glad I ordered them within an hour of them going online as they went out of stock like 4 hours after I ordered.

a standard clocked 460 is faster than an OCd 550

It depends, you're attempting to find hash for the algorithm. The faster your hashes the higher your chances for finding the right one, You aren't guaranteed to find one, but it's based on averages. Like if you do it for a month you have <number> of chances to win the coins.

He spent 700 on two GPU's. I spent 1200 on two GPUs.
Do I win?

That was irony, not sarcasm

Okay well it might've been sarcasm but whatever

With a good GPU, fucking ages.
That's why you do pooled mining.
Ever since they connected our house to the fibre optic main line (The fibre optic goes to our house, but doesn't do anything yet) our internet has been slow as fuck. It must be a conspiracy!

I just don't understand how you can justify spending that much on just GPU when silicon's value depreciates so rapidly
In three years I'll buy a 250-300 dollar GPU that outperforms your $1200 setup
