Tomorrow me and a group of people will have to teach the upcoming first graders basic things with their macbooks. Lets see how many still use safari after we're done... :hist101:
Holy mother of god This is some rage worthy content: http://www.facebook.com/thegadgetshow/posts/232803620067722 Such posts include: "Juan Arroyo android is shit, you know for the tight people that cant afford an iphone!" "Juan Arroyo John, they just love to wind people up, and usually end up hating the fact they cant afford an iphone, and i think they know it inside that they are in the wrong, but would not be "cool" to accept that...PMSL!" Just look for that guy's posts and cry.
But... Safari is a decent browser. [editline]7th June 2011[/editline] Skip one post up
why use something when you can use something else that is better by far [editline]7th June 2011[/editline] also no comments on me using a mac between my last 2 posts? (personally i'd rather have my school buy some shitty 200$ laptops and install some sort of linux system on them but my school's 1 person IT department doesnt take suggestions)
I just don't understand how you can justify spending that much on just GPU when silicon's value depreciates so rapidly In three years I'll buy a 250-300 dollar GPU that outperforms your $1200 setup
I think that's quite an exaggeration really. I am completely aware of the value loss of high end hardware. So while I appreciate your viewpoint, I've considered it for many months and declared it worth it. Many things went into my decision so I can't recall them all. However, if I'm always buying affordable hardware I'm never on the curve of the High End. I'm taking my youtube stuff seriously and want to be able to produce the best looking and performing videos. That was a big part of the decision.
So I just learned not to hold a computer case and a coaxial cable at the same time. :v:

[editline]7th June 2011[/editline] And Nvidia AMD CARD?
Yeah, I got a slight shock. Just made my arm feel warm was all. :v:
So my connection went to this: After fibre optic cable was wired today. Fibre optic is from a different ISP than my current connection. (The fibre optic isn't in use yet, the connection is there though). I'm running two debian servers, how can i check their network usage?
Coax has a voltage running down it? Now I'm going to try it when i get home.
thought this was kinda funny
Don't be silly of course it has voltage how do you think shit gets threw?
GTX 570 or Radeon 6970?
thought this was kinda funny
volume in sq in what
Aparently its normal there's 2.1 volts to 65.8 volts on coax cables.
This thread sounds like a.... coax :rimshot:
GTX 570 or Radeon 6970?
If you're wanting to use 3D vision or CUDA then the GTX 570 If not the 6790 Although, I am using a GTX 570 and it is pretty damn awesome.

How the fuck are you supposed to really hard shutdown a debian server, if 'shutdown now' only goes into single user mode thing..
How the fuck are you supposed to really hard shutdown a debian server, if 'shutdown now' only goes into single user mode thing..
Look in the man pages. I believe shutdown required an option to specify the action taken. Halt and poweroff aren't default I think.
-h Halt or poweroff after shutdown. -H Halt action is to halt or drop into boot monitor on systems that support it. -P Halt action is to turn off the power.

[...] and runlevel 1 is used to put to system into a state where administrative tasks can be per- formed; this is the default if neither the -h or -r flag is given to shutdown.
Today I was overhearing a conversation between a PS3 and a Wii fanboy. Out of all things the Wii fanboy could argue about, he was saying Wii's graphics are great, followed by being flamed by the PS3 fanboy. One of the funniest arguments from the Wii fanboy was that "You can't have a motion-sensitive controller and good graphics at the same time" and "Kinect has worse graphics than the Wii". No need to say. I was laughing at him through the whole conversation, while not taking part because platform wars are dumb v:v:v It was in school by the way
Speaking of consoles (and I'm sure it's been discussed in the thread already and I just missed it): I think we can all agree that whoever Nintendo keeps hiring to name their consoles needs to be shot.
