I can get Genuine Win7 Pro 64 being a employee of school, but these are update discs, and require a genuine Vista/XP installation. But i want to use it for my new pc without install XP first. I heard that when you try to install it and it says no genuine windows version found, you just point it to the dvd drive and it takes that as a installation? Is that true and will it work?
340GB? Dayum. And you actually store your music in the My Music folder? I always stored mine on a separate drive so I can reformat and re-install without fear of losing anything.
I just copy things over to an external if I need to reformat. I couldn't leave it on all day to listen to music because it's noisy as fuck.

I haven't tried, but if it doesn't activate, you can try upgrading Windows as you've installed it with the upgrade.
I have 397GB of music =3
I have a question here, I've lend a Warcraft III CD from my friend, as my own broke, and I've still got the key. Anyhow, I'll have to give him the CD back sometime, and I can't remember the way to start Warcraft III without a CD. I've tried installing and so forth from a virtual disk drive, but it didn't work out. Any ideas?

Also, you can download it and install it on how many computers you want to. But only one can use the online multiplayer at a time, LAN multiplayer does not have this restriction so you can have a LAN party if you want to.
i've got like 50gb of music now but that's just because most of it is in FLAC i lost a bunch the last time i had to emergency format

So basically you are upgrading Windows 7 to Windows 7.
there's a W7 launcher in the market
After reading through the license information for Metro, I found I can do it.
Would mind explain where to download, etc.? Much appreciated.
www.battle.net make an account and register the CD key

[editline]9th June 2011[/editline] So the disk will work, but i will need a 'normal' key?
Yes and no, you can install Windows from that DVD and use a normal key, or when you're done installing it normally (Without entering a key) run the upgrade process from the DVD, when that is done it will accept an upgrade key.
probably a bad driver that doesn't get loaded in safe-mode.
Overly late, I just had to let it "rest" for a bit and it stopped, guess it got too hot. Not the only time it's happened.
After reading through the license information for Metro, I found I can do it.
You didn't have to read that, you could've just gone into the Market and downloaded W7 launcher which does pretty much exactly what you've asked for.
