What's the time requirement now again to become gold?
It should be 2 years and 2000 posts, nobody's said why it's suddenly changed [editline]15th June 2011[/editline] AH, garry just confirmed, 2 years and 1000 posts
It should be 2 years and 2000 posts, nobody's said why it's suddenly changed [editline]15th June 2011[/editline] AH, garry just confirmed, 2 years and 1000 posts
so now i can get gold if i wait until july 2012 also i have more posts than you neener neener neeeeener
How much space does a typical Windows install take up for you guys? Just OS and applications, not including home folder stuff.
Well, XP windows folder is 2GB, might grew up to 5GB. And about 3GB of applications, so yeah, absolutely fresh install for my friend took only 5GB. Vista, 20GB with all the apps and bloatware from prebuilts. Win 7. No idea.
so now i can get gold if i wait until july 2012 also i have more posts than you neener neener neeeeener
Counting the posts I made in lifestyles I've had a lot more than you :3: [editline]15th June 2011[/editline] Also post counts don't mean shit, join date is where the elitism's at
I had more than 6000 posts but they got wiped as 99% of them were in the custom forums.
It should be 2 years and 2000 posts, nobody's said why it's suddenly changed [editline]15th June 2011[/editline] AH, garry just confirmed, 2 years and 1000 posts
I like this change, because I don't post a lot, and this makes getting gold easier. Now to wait a year and get a few hundred posts.
I think that's fine, it's not like the amount of posts describes how well you post.
I had more than 6000 posts but they got wiped as 99% of them were in the custom forums.
More like in one thread in the custom forums, amirite? :v:
Oh hi there, CIPWTTKT! Posting from the South of France near Port Grimaux over a weeks wifi connection that cost us 20EUR (which I suppose isn't bad for an unlimited connection, but ow). Need a bit of advice though - what would be the best way to topup a T-Mobile UK SIM from over here? The 1-month 50mb Roaming Data bundle costs 10GBP, but I've only got 9.81 (fuck). I can't really give you any content right now sadly (apart from some terrible french -> english translations).
More like in one thread in the custom forums, amirite? :v:
Not really. Most of them was on the Finnish custom forum, but I used use the other ones too, a little.
I bring you both content and a question: I've got a Mini-ITX (A MS-9803 more specifically), an Intel C2D T9300 2.5GHz (mobile), 4 GB OCZ DDR2 RAM at 667MHz, this PSU, and a Sapphire 4830 that I used my self for two years. The GPU overclocks very well. I got the PSU from my friend, as he got an Antec when he got his GTX 580, but it has powered a GTX 260 before. I would want to ask how much I could sell this for (with a case and OS that I'll have to buy for full price), I'm in Denmark, so prices are pretty high as a standard. My second question is if I can test the components by just placing the motherboard on a non-conductive surface (like a book or something) and short the pins for the startup button. All help is appreciated. Now to the illiteracy: I'm playing trombone in an orchestra with ~40 persons. The place where we're playing is owned by the government, and it's kinda a place for everybody you could say. There's computer, ping pong tables - so on. Anyway, the computers have got a hardware security card or whatever, which means that everything that is changed, deleted and saved on the computer gets reverted to it's original state after a reboot. This is a pain in the ass, since there's a "virus" on all of the computers. It's probably just a program some kid coded and threw on the computer back when they didn't have the card, since it's pretty much just a program running the same function again and again, and malwarebytes doesn't doesn't recognize it. Anyway, one of the IT guys out there had supposedly been looking for it for weeks, and it was really as simple as making a search in explorer to see where it hid itself, which I did right away. It hid in the Windows folder, and I tried to delete it, but of course I needed admin rights, so I went to him and told him what I had found. He then went over, looked at it, deleted it and everything was dandy. Problem is, the card of course reanimated the file from death upon reboot. Another thing is that we have to download almost all updates made for CSS ever every time the computer is rebooted. That's not funny since it's downloading at ~200 KB per second. The screens are set to 1024x768, too of course. It's simply bullshit, and not much else.
*wall of text about virus*
I believe my old school had a reset system like that too. Someone got some games on it somehow and they were never removed when I left the school.
I believe my old school had a reset system like that too. Someone got some games on it somehow and they were never removed when I left the school.
I would imagine it was something akin to Deep Freeze.
for the question, i'm pretty sure it has to be something conductive like tinfoil
Wouldn't that be like not using stand-offs in a case? That sounds like a pretty bad idea.
I would imagine it was something akin to Deep Freeze.
most likely, it was years ago though and I wouldn't even know what the school would be like nowadays
seriously, 1333mhz VALUE SELECT ram? Barely 30kr more gets you 1600mhz kingston HyperX and 60kr more gets you this: http://www.dustinhome.dk/pd_5010331609.aspx I know for a FACT that the XMS3 modules overclock like a boss, my 1333mhz sticks that I bought over a year ago do 2000mhz 9-11-9-27 easily at 1.65V, these newer 1600mhz modules should do that with lower timings. That value select ram aint gonna overclock for shit, and I assume you will be doing overclocking because you're getting the i5 2500K. Don't shoot yourself in the foot by cheaping out on the ram. Oh yeah also get a better mobo since you're gonna overclock dat 2500k. http://www.dustinhome.dk/pd_5010552348.aspx if you insist on m-atx. if you're not gonna overclock ignore what I said but for the love of god get the normal 2500 then. It would pain me to see that processor with that other hardware, un-overclocked.
I see. Thanks :buddy:

What is this i don't even
My laptop boots within 0,2 seconds with vertex sandforce 4 pro 11000 rpm per milli second !! And with my i9 multi core (9 cores) processor it only takes 2,2 mins to download Autodesk professional that usaully takes up to 12-24 hours on a average computer. And I have also got "Sandy bridge smooth start X49 Pro limited edition" which lets* you start up to 50 programs at once with in 1.1 second. My laptop rocks i know
11000 RPM per millisecond(Revolutions per minute per millisecond???) SSD? i9? (With 9 cores, even though most i7's are quadcores)
Shadaez asked about my heatsink and then leaves :saddowns: Edit: Any of you guys know about heatsinks? I mean I am knowledgable, but wondering what kind of performance I'd expect with something like a 40cfm 120-140mm low speed fan on a TRUE for a 2600k. If it's low enough how high you all think I could clock it. Should I look at an HR-02?
I own a TRU 120 Extreme It looks like this now. Keeps a Q6600 @ 3.2 under 63C at all times with 30+C ambients, which is not bad at all i'd say. During the winter i keep it at 3.6/3.8 and it never goes past 50 with roughly 10C ambients, before having it like this, i had a single 120x25mm coolermaster fan, roughly 40ish CFM, and the temps were about 10-15C higher. I recommend you go for TWO Scythe Gentle Typhoons, and put them in push/pull, they move a fair bit of air with a lot of pressure for the very little noise they make, the push/pull setup really makes a difference in a cooler with this much density
Apparently, they changed everyone's password at my old school. Their new passwords were sent to their email accounts. Guess what password you use to login to your email account... :v: [editline]15th June 2011[/editline] Admins and the other IT people were never really bright at my old school :v:
I would imagine it was something akin to Deep Freeze.
Deep Freeze is good shit, you can fuck up a machine all you want and it just resets. However there's this worm going around at school and IT's solution is...ready for this? it's... remove deep freeze. :psyduck:

It was something like cat123
On the upside of doing that though is they can push out updates with WSUS to machines and keep shit up to date now. Maybe they can also push out other new things with GPOs but I wouldn't keep my hopes up.

You can probably get unlimited for a month at the price of that 1-month 50mb roaming data on T-Mobile.
Got my new board today and found more engrish, this time from asus.

This is probably why. Excuse the shitty iPod touch camera.
