Wow. I'm surprised at how Firefox is running on this machine.
512MB RAM, you'd think it would be thrashing to disk every second. Nope. 273MB RAM free. Firefox is only using 92 megabytes. While browsing LMAO Pics, no less.
It's still running slowly, but I think that has more to do with the whole "software rendering on an old-school Athlon" than anything else.

I think I'll get this case, I like how plain and simplistic it is. I could call the computer "The black box" :v:

A Person: "Internet explorer is the most popular, doesn't mean it doesn't suck."
FlakTheMighty: Norton
A Person: Then he stands in silence for like 3 seconds
A Person: And is like
A Person: "I hate you for being right."

My fiend who is a consolefag thinks he can just game on his laptop, told him to build his own computer, have me do it, or buy the Asus G73 if you want to do some easy LAN parties with me. His reply was "Too expensive" and that he'd rather buy an Alienware laptop. I then asked him if he'd rather spend more for a shit laptop, or less or a good laptop. He then replied "lol didnt kno they cost that much."

Nothing happened to it. It only shows up in dark, or inside shots.

I wish Intel CPUs were cheaper, I could really use Hyperthreading when I'm converting mp3s.

Bulldozer-based AMD processors will have something similar to hyper-threading. Actually a bit better, from what I've seen of the architecture.
Too bad I'll probably get a Bulldozer-based CPU when i39's are out and I'm 50-years old.

AMD is saying that they'll be putting the things in everything from tablets to servers. Decent odds that there will be cheap desktop variants out.
Especially since, you know, it's AMD. They always have some cheap powerful processors around. Remember the Phenom II X3s? They were only barely more expensive than the X2s, and way more powerful.
If network equipment had feelings, my switch would absolutely hate me right now.

Eh, I'll still have to get a new motherboard.
I don't think my AM3 board will get an update so I could run Bulldozer.
And I absolutely hate switching motherboards.
Oh well, maybe in 2020 I'll build a new rig.

Bulldozer is based on AM3+. You should need, at most, a BIOS upgrade to run Bulldozer processors in it.
I still need to update my GPU before my CPU..
But staying optimistic, maybe I'll be running on Bulldozer in 2012 or 2013.
New tech will probably be coming out then..

Too lazy to change settings, encode 4 albums, all with 4 threads.
Did you know Windows sucks at timesharing?
