I backed up GTA4, Crysis, Metro, Stalker, Dirt 2, Far Cry 2, etc onto my mirror so I could just dump them back into steam at like 100x the speed of a download. Uber neat
I wish I could invite you guys over to experience Metro 2033, 1080p, 4xMSAA, DX11 at 60fps. The game still has odd transparency AA stuff though.
What's the FPS measuring application in the upper right corner?
Fraps on the top right, MSI Afterburner on the left. I hit 2300mb vram usage. So glad I went with 3gb models.
Any suggestions? I'm kind of stuck here :saddowns:
Keep using the x4 slot. http://www.hardocp.com/article/2010/08/25/gtx_480_sli_pcie_bandwidth_perf_x16x16_vs_x4x4
I'll get a new case, because the power connectors for the GPU are in the way of the fucking sidepanel :v: And, I haven't even gone as far as seeing if it actually works in the x4 slot yet.
What's the FPS measuring application in the upper right corner?
FRAPS, by the look of it. [editline]18th June 2011[/editline] Rate late, I need to learn to read.
What case should I get now, fellow FPers?
Fractal Desing; Define R3 Arctic White Or any of the colours.
fractal design cases are not really aimed at gamers but for the price they are nice, the silverstone FT02 is a really nice case for a gaming system has a reasonable amount of hdd bays a dedicated ssd bracket the only real drawback is you cant do tri sli/crossfire but i doubt most users would even want to
Some Chinese kid at my school just posted some hentai on his Facebook wall.
Some Chinese kid at my school just posted some hentai on his Facebook wall.
Screencap it, blur the hentai, and post it here.
When does steams summer sale start?
Hopefully later... my wallet cannot support it.
You mean the name [editline]18th June 2011[/editline] It should start next month, according to Firgof
If you're going for a high-end computer that'll need good air-cooling, get a HAF X. Otherwise, get a Define XL if you want a silent computer.
If you're going for a high-end computer that'll need good air-cooling, get a HAF X. Otherwise, get a Define XL if you want a silent computer.
With two 140MM fans pushing air in at the front and side bay my computer gets more than enough going through it.
Screencap it, blur the hentai, and post it here.
But the hentai is the best part :saddowns:
My phone gets so hot it burns my fingers to touch the screen when its plugged in and in use... Worrisome. Also the spinning whos online icon makes this thing lag....
unfortunatley your graphics processors can't produce porn real enough to take the place of a woman
If they use that LA Noire facial animation system with porn games, they could produce porn at that level of realism. [editline]18th June 2011[/editline]
My phone gets so hot it burns my fingers to touch the screen when its plugged in and in use...
I remember my old laptop did that... while doing basic tasks like web surfing. Because of this, I changed the start up sound to the chorus from this:
Wish I could play that video but I'm out in the middle of nowhere on that slow ass EDGE network so it takes 5 minutes to load 5 seconds of video. :v:
PSU = Power supply unit = the battery The charger is only used to charge the battery, and isn't really a PSU.
Why does it work with no battery installed then? Sorry, It's a PSU
Yesterday, my dad let my uncle use one of our Macs to show him something. He was on there for less than five minutes and somehow managed to install MacDefender. When my dad got mildly pissed about it, my uncle told him that "I thought Macs didn't get any viruses at all!" My dad managed to remove it before any damage could be done, fortunately. My uncle is now no longer allowed near any of the computers in the house. This same uncle also yelled at me and told me I was not allowed to use any of their computers any more after I went on one to look at a motherboard on Newegg, and the computer happened to get a virus the next day.
DISREGARD THIS POST I AM FUCKING STUPID.

What the fuck. I have never had this many problems with a build before. I had some problems and it's a long story why, but I installed Windows 7 on the computer from an old harddrive. (As in, using a harddrive instead of a DVD etc) When it was done it booted into windows and everything was fine. I then shut down the computer, took out the harddrive I had use for installation, and booted the computer again. Then the computer couldn't boot. Then I connected the harddrive again, and suddenly, it WOULD boot. So basically, to boot from the harddrive I installed windows onto, I need to connect the harddrive I installed it with. What the fuck man

Yeah, that must be it
Maybe because the master boot record is on that hard drive?
That, and Windows can only boot from the primary HDD. [editline]18th June 2011[/editline] If you for some reason necessarily need to boot from a secondary hard drive, you could employ some GRUB magic to remap the drives for booting Windows.
But the hard drive that has Windows on it IS the main drive. Not to mention that the harddrive I used for installing was IDE, not SATA
