Is that just a flash drive? Looks cool.
Yep, it's just a flash drive with it's plastic case taken off.
I plan to make another case.
Just found an amazing program for windows...

And when you click full screen preview, you get this
I can't really see a good use for 4 desktops... does anyone really have that many programs open that they need 4 taskbars?
Hey guys, remember that friend of mine with the REALLY shitty luck with computers and is basically poor? Yeah.
I decided when I build my own computer eventually, I'm gonna give him my current prebuilt one.
Even though it's still a prebuilt, it's a MASSIVE, IMMEASURABLE improvement over what he has now.
Problem is, I can't give him my monitor and his only displays in two colors at once.... I guess I'll have to give him the monitor from my mom's shitty old Compaq that's too old and slow to use anymore.
I told him this over Skype and I watched him sit there for 5 minutes with his jaw on the floor, unable to move.
Edit: Win/win situation for me but with the total cost of the build (at the current time, could change) is $750, mom can't afford that any time soon so I'd have to either A. Wait a while or B. Get a job at that hotdog and ice cream place up the road that's within biking distance. ... But then I have to learn how to ride a bike... I never learned when I was younger and I REALLY regret it. :saddowns:
Got this on my netbook this morning

What are you smoking windows, my netbook didn't crash
Man, I'm like a woman shopping for pc stuff. Been looking at highend cards since like early march, and I'm tied between getting two of those 3gb 580's for 1200, or just getting two 6970's and holding out till the kepler cards come out in q4-q1. So I'm reading shit all over and going between, "FUCK the money I'm getting this shit and fucking gonna boast about my system." Then I read some forums and I backpeddle for miles.
I got the money, But I'm not one to waste money either. I've been torturing people on my facebook about my constant whining. So I'm whining to you guys now.
I want the 3gb 580's for their CUDA/Extra RAM for all the post processing I throw on everything I can and their superior drivers. But it's like 500 more. I have a vagina no doubt, rate me rainbow or something. I feel pathetic for constantly going back and forth and having no confidence in my decisions.

It's more for window layouts. You can position up all your windows and then switch workspaces to do something else.

In my opinion, 500$ more for the GTX 580 is not worth it, and take a look on the GTX 570s too. Before I bought the stuff I've got now, I've been looking at both the 4870/4890/5770/5830/5850/GTX 460/6950, so I'm probably the woman here.

If the 570's had atleast 2gb of ram I'd consider it. 1.2gb for a high end card is simply retarded. I plan on moving to 3 displays for surround in the next month or two and can't be dealing with vram limits. And if you know me or the videos I've posted, I push everything past it's limits as far as graphics, normally for specific videos I make, so 1.2gb seems to get used up fast based on plenty of people's commentary when they are running stock games with rather conservative settings. 2gb 570's would be perfect probably, as I want the nvidia features, just not the small frame buffer.
It's an unfortunate combination. I appreciate the reply all the same.
In most cases you can make a semi-intelligent on which side goes up. However, on my desktop (Dell XPS 630i) the front-side USB ports are UPSIDE-DOWN :argh:
I never get used to it.

Before I insert it, I make sure that the up side is the side with the holes.
If the USB port is on its side, 90% of the time it should be made so that the up side goes on the left side of the port.
:buddy: Prevents me from having the three side issue.

Then I would just get the 6970s, as if the GTX 580s is 500$ more, you could get another 6970 anyway. Alternatively, throw the money at a nice big SSD or something.

you should really put your laptop on charge, battery is low.
Pfff, I still have 2 hours remaining on 37%. Asus netbooks have insane amounts of battery life.

My laptop has only 1h 30m on a full charge :saddowns:
I am jelly.
Mine has 4 hours, but I could get an 8 hour battery if I wanted :smug:
I can squeeze 13 hours out of mine! :v:
I can squeeze 5 minutes out of my fathers laptop.
And 30 seconds out of my grandparents laptop.
It's sad when you can get more battery life out of your netbook then your fucking phone.
My HTC Aria only lasts about 4 or so hours on slightly continuous use.
Have you got Juicedefender?
No, does it cost money and/or modding of any sort?
Excuse me if this is old, I haven't seen it before. I showed a friend that CRT Monitor Synth expirement video. He showed me this:
