Why do you have a i5 2500k and a 3800ish gpu?
It's not like I went to the store and went; "Hey, I'll get one of the best CPUs on the market and a really old GPU!"
I'm upgrading it as soon as I can, decided to upgrade over a few months, since money.
I made such a good haul today
Some power cables
Assorted RCA cables
A Motorola Surfboard Cable modem
5 coax cables
2 portable CD players
A DVD player (Laser time)
Two speakers
And 3 CRT monitors
Guess how much I payed for all of this
[editline]19th June 2011[/editline]
I also bought a backpack to carry the speakers and a massive travel case for two of the CRTs and the rest

You need a DVD Burner laser. Reader won't work.

Still a few good motors and lenses in there
Holy hell my new build is nice. Now I can play GTA IV at 1920x1080, high graphics settings, at 60fps all day erry day :hehe:
I'm jelly. :saddowns:
Quick question, can I mount my H60 upside down? Here's what it looks like now:

But if I turn the radiator/heatsink upside down so the cables are coming from the top of the case and going down to the waterblock will it change anything? Heat rises so it's not the best idea in terms of performance but it looks much better wires going top down.
Although I swear, I did it when I was mounting a second fan to it and I honestly think I heard water trickling sounds or something, no idea though could of just been my harddrive, but I changed it back to normal anyway in-case.

uh I think it would make absolutely no difference, it uses a pump to move the liquid

The X6s is sometimes worse than the X4s in applications that don't utilize more than four cores. I wouldn't get one, unless you do alot of virtual machines and stuff. There's people here who likes their's very much, though.

Fantastic, must've been imagining that sound then, this is my plan once my fan controllers get here:

Where the hell does the air in the PSU come from?

I agree, he should save some money for bulldozer/ivy bridge I usually do a processor change every two-three years (currently on E8200 core 2 duo). Going from an X4 to an X6 is a small upgrade and wouldn't be worth it.
Where the hell does the air in the PSU come from?
Woops, intake from the bottom, messed the arrows up.
The fact that I only have one exhaust worries me, I might get some heat building up as that tiny fan can't handle it.
Also another question, putting the side panel of my case on the computer doesn't change temperatures at all, I thought it was atleast lower or increase them... it's as if airflow doesn't care.
Should a bottom mounted PSU be sucking from inside or outside the case in a Haf 922

Currently I'm on an E4600 Core 2 Duo, I just thought that more cores = better in most scenarios so I obviously thought that the X6 would be a lot better in comparison to the X4.
I've learnt my lesson then. Though if Bulldozer chips are out before Christmas I'll probably be taking a look into them instead.

If the case is elevated from the floor/desk then you'll be fine with it pointing downwards (with the fan outside) though to be perfectly honest It's more of a personal preference thing.

Just did exactly this. My old AM2 processor had shat itself and delivered, in intervals of 10 seconds, five seconds of 1 fps. So I set out to buy a new AM2 processor here at dreamhack. Of course there is none. So, what do? Buy an i5 2500k, four gigs of DDR3 ram and a new motherboard with money I lent from my mother. :v:
I'm getting dosh tomorrow, if I get paid for the whole month, it'll be around 1,483€, I could buy upgrades....
While I was asleep my grandma's dog walked into my room and peed on my PC. Somehow it got inside and it won't turn on. I'm afraid I'll have to build a new PC when I have no money.

Wait for the new processors if you plan on getting a new one, don't waste the money! You'll regret it.
