Hi Apple. So I am an iOS Developer and I made The AnyHub Application. I've been brainstorming all day trying to come up with an idea for a new app, but I cant think of any good ideas. So I wanted to ask you guys, what is a good idea for an app that you would like to use? [editline]10-22-10[/editline] Oh shit 1000th post!
A pipboy app based on fallout 3 could be nice.
Please for the love of all things holy. If you get a brilliant idea for an app, and it can be done within the browser, don't make a dedicated ipod/iphone/ipad app for it -_-; Please.

You could say most iOS Applications could be done within the browser. You could make javascript games with canvas instead of a dedicated game. But which would be better? The dedicated game. [editline]22nd October 2010[/editline] If you are looking for web-only apps, get a WebOS phone.

It's just irritating to have people come up with brilliant ideas lately, and the first and only place they run to develop them on is the app store :c. Basically, if it can be done in the browser, do it there. But if it can be done on the app store with better quality, and a larger audience (ie, better results), do it there.
Nobody?
If you are looking for web-only apps, get a WebOS phone.
Hahaha no just because you write apps in HTML/CSS/JS does not automatically make them web-only

Dashboard widgets, web apps, windows gadgets, shit like that. I am not a web developer. This thread is about ideas for iOS Apps.

Oh and I forgot to say: NO GAMES. I cannot program games for the life of me on iOS. I really suck at OpenGL. [editline]23rd October 2010[/editline] But I will be passing that idea onto a friend who makes games for iOS.
Oh and I forgot to say: NO GAMES. I cannot program games for the life of me on iOS. I really suck at OpenGL.
You should make a QRcode reader if one doesn't already exist. Or a louder speaker app.
You should make a QRcode reader if one doesn't already exist. Or a louder speaker app.
QRCode Reader: BeeTagg. And how would you make a loud speaker app? Just play your music and turn the speakers on the iDevice up to full. (Or plug it into a loud speaker)

FTP Client with built in text editor. Steam client, I know it's possible (with Open Steamworks), you have OSW server running on a client computer (usually home computer), then the app sends requests to and from the server, doing whatever.
FTP Client with built in text editor.
Been looking for an app like this. Didn't find anything. I'd say go for that suggestion. Shouldn't be too hard.
Been looking for an app like this. Didn't find anything. I'd say go for that suggestion. Shouldn't be too hard.
I saw one on the App Store but it costs $10... [editline]23rd October 2010[/editline] Infact i300, I could work with you on the server app for the Steam app if you would want to. It would definitely take some work and time. [editline]23rd October 2010[/editline] But everyone would love you. And charge $.99 for it :haw:
