Do different makes on PC use different types of hard drives? If not I will use my 600Gb one out of my HP.
Does it have a PATA interface or SATA? That's important to know.

It was bought 3 years ago. Safe to assume SATA.

No idea.

Still no idea, the only time I took the case of my computer was to clean it to see if I could get it to work.
Still no idea, the only time I took the case of my computer was to clean it to see if I could get it to work.
The reason why I ask is because IF it was PATA it would be hard to find decent modern mother boards that support PATA. Like hexpunK said it's most likely SATA
It's SATA
7200 RPM.
640GB, no idea about the cache, though.
Anyway, what I mentioned before, SSD (solid state disk) hard drives have a massive file transfer and access rate. Basicaly, if you use it to store your OS it will boot up faster.

582Gb it says on the computer. Do not know how to find the cache as I do not normally fuck with hardware or look at specs or whatever.

It's probably only a 16Mb cache, I don't imagine they would have put anything larger in.

I imagine you have a recovery partition for windows, I doubt you re-installed windows since buying it, so that will take up HDD space.

It's just for the OS. A PCIe 2x 30GB card would do the trick.

Yeah I have a shitty 15gb backup hard drive as well, it came with it, also I have reinstalled windows from vista to 7 multiple times, reinstalling 7, not vista. Personally, I would have kept vista but my computer fucked up badly and the only choice I had was to reinstall windows.

Did you delete the recovery partition when you re-installed windows? It's probably still there taking up space, but not allocated a drive letter.
With that budget you could buy an i5 2500K and GTX570.

I take it thats really fucking good.
I take it thats really fucking good.
Yup. You could easily max out Crysis 1.

Yeah I did, I did make a thread about it on a microsoft thing for questions or some shit, actually got rid of 500 gb doing that and accidentally got rid of my sisters wedding video.

PM me a teamviewer ID if you would like me to take a look, that amount of hard disk storage doesn't disapear out of 640GB, the bootloader partition is only 100Mb and C:/ gets the rest.

It's a remote desktop program, it lets me view your screen, type into your computer and move your mouse, you can stop it at any time by moving your mouse, it overrides mine.

If your windows.old is still there, then your recovery partition will still be there too.
Custom PC would be some milkyware like.

That was already suggested, although Milkyware computers look absolutely gorgeous, it's a bit expensive.
Todays analysis;
1x Bluescreen of death.
1x Computer Freezeup.
2x Computer Restart without errors or warning.
OK, so just lately my computer has been going wrong, badly. Bluescreen at least twice a day, computer freezes or monitor shuts off and I wanted to know the best place to get a custom made gaming pc, as well as being cheap, I have been taking a look on google to find one and dont know which one to choose, so I want to know whats the best place to get one made, that isnt that expensive either. I am currently taking a look on http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/ to find a good one, this site looks promising enough but is pretty expensive, also, people out of the UK dont bother replying unless its a website from the UK. All help is appreciated.
If you do not wish to build your own computer (Alot of people don't, even if it is really easy I can understand you not wanting to RISK a lot of money), then find your local computer store and ask there. Local shops tend to charge you something minimal to build your computer. My PC was slightly cheaper at my local shop than it was from online stores because they bought the parts at trader prices and didn't charge much to build it.
Chillblast PCs seem reasonably priced.

Restarting without errors or warning tends to be something overheating, or that has been my general experience. I've had 4 PCs start randomly restarting and it's turned out that a fan was failing or something along those lines.
