From the size of that computer, it really doesn't look well ventilated, is it crammed away in a small place, and have you had it open to clean the fans off? [editline]7th September 2011[/editline] it looks like a slightly oversized external DVD drive enclosure with the size of the thing.
Well doesn't win7 use quite a bit more off of the gpu to render the interface? Wouldn't that technically make it use up a little bit more? Just a thought, i don't have a clue if it makes sense or not.
So less work for the CPU. And when you're playing games, it disables aero and that stuff to save GPU power for the games.

you've never seen this? Didn't happen on my current install untill I played dirt 3.
you've never seen this? Didn't happen on my current install untill I played dirt 3.
Happened once, but not with Dirt 3 now. And I can not remember what game it was, and if it even was on my PC. Maybe it was on my fathers laptop (also running vista) with AOE3 or CS1.6 .
That only really happens when I play really old games.
That was already suggested, although Milkyware computers look absolutely gorgeous, it's a bit expensive.
I thought someone might mention me in here. But I would be the first to agree, my pre-builts may be among the ultimate pre-builts but they are not for people who are looking for a budget option. It's not that I put a huge mark-up (parts are bought wholesale and I don't put a mark-up on them) It's just that I have a minimum price range and you would buy a Milkyware if you wanted something a bit special. [editline]7th September 2011[/editline]
No. Build it yourself save money and choose your exact specs.
Actually you can choose your exact specs at Milkyware, even things like the colour of your screws if you wanted. And you would probably only save ~10% building yourself, as I buy parts wholesale.

I wish I could get one my self but I don't have the money unfortunately. Do you ship to the U.S?

I guess it was the north bridge because one of the temps would get up to high 60's really fast while the cpu would stay at 40's, but that is just a guess.
Alienware should really hire you, you really do know what looks good.
I thought they were going for the badly molded plastic ricer look.
They are, and they need someone to steer them the fuck away from it, it looks awful.
They are, and they need someone to steer them the fuck away from it, it looks awful.
Milky wouldn't be able to sway the Dell board of directhurrrs to stop using cheap plastic cases. They use them as they are piss cheap to purchase wholesale.
Still, a plain flat surface uses less plastic than some bulging organic monstrosity, it would be in their best interests.
PC enthusiasts aren't their market, they're selling to the parents who want to buy their 13yo a new pc or computer semi illiterates, both of which are a much larger market for the pre built gaming pcs.
Why didn't anyone write alienware.com ? :suicide:
Why didn't anyone write alienware.com ? :suicide:
why hasn't anybody wrote :frog:?
Why didn't anyone write alienware.com ? :suicide:
alienware has horrible computers for horrible prices it's much better to build a computer yourself + satisfaction
Why didn't anyone write alienware.com ? :suicide:
alienware suck cock and you know it. Evidently you are a "ProGamer"
alienware has horrible computers for horrible prices it's much better to build a computer yourself + satisfaction
Baugher117 is both a Macfag and actualy likes Alienware, I can't believe the shit he goes around dumbing.
Baugher117 is both a Macfag and actualy likes Alienware, I can't believe the shit he goes around dumbing.
A Macfag? The only time I use a Mac is at school (Or when I sign out one of the MacBooks to take home)! And yes I like Alienware, and there's nothing wrong with it (What is wrong with it?). And give me one good example of one of these "goes around dumbing." shit. Oh wow a dumb rating, I don't give a shit.
Alienware are utter shit in Aesthetics, Pricing and Hardware, they have not one SINGLE redeeming factor. The same applies to Apple sans Aesthetics, a select few of their products look nice.

AHAHAAHHA. Oh god.
AHAHAAHHA. Oh god.
http://www.apple.com/macpro/features/processor.html Take a look for your own damn self, it's nice hardware!
It's an intel Xeon, it's server grade hardware and you can buy it elsewhere.
It's an intel Xeon, it's server grade hardware and you can buy it elsewhere.
Yes but is there motherboards out there that can run two at the same time and support all of that hardware? I'm seriously just asking because I would like to know for a possibly future build.
Yes, you can get a server motherboard and it will work identicaly, possibly better. Depending on how much you want to spend anyway. [editline]15th September 2011[/editline] http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0027JLDHG/ref=asc_df_B0027JLDHG4423023?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&tag=googlecouk06-21&linkCode=asn&creative=22206&creativeASIN=B0027JLDHG There we go, a dual Xeon motherboard, with an utterly insane amount of supported RAM.
