You're not going to pay or anything, it doesn't even need installation!
Just download to see for yourself, and stop wasting my time.
I'm gonna say that I like this app more than zScreen because it just does what I want and doesn't take forever to configure.
God bless you man, at least there's people with sense in their head...
Oh come on guys, this is not zscreen. It's nothing like zscreen and is not supposed to be an all purpose tool.
It's like complaining that you can't use a pencil to paint...

Well I should add the translator, at least! :fuckyou:

Also add a music player. Because that's totally what an image capturing app needs.
and a calculator
Sometimes I really wonder how ZScreen amuses people because it has a shitload of useless stuff.
I always preferred Gyazo, it get the job done easily and much faster, without needing configuration or anything...

Behold, my wonderful artistic talent on the pencil
A whole 900Kb of RAM? What are you running, a P3 on 512MB of RAM or something?
zScreen feels clunky. This is straight to the point with the most basic and important features and I like that.

You don't have to use that useless stuff. The most I use it for is uploading screenshots to image hosts, FTP servers, my clipboard, whatever. I don't know why they added the Text and other crap, it just seems pointless.

The UI is exceptionally clunky, but I haven't seen much wrong after fighting with it a bit to configure FTP servers it works fine using keyboard shortcuts.
Not saying this is a bad program, but you need something to attract the attention of people, it being minimal isn't really attractive when there are other, proven applications with the exact same features.

Ok here's what Im thinking:
I'll make another version of this app, to which I'll add more features, like uploading to Imgur, IS, Flickr, FTP etc, link shortening, but it will stick to the same idea, user will run-select-get the link in browser. Settings will be preset, like FTP account settings are preset now...
But there'll be an FTP only version too for those who like to keep it simple!
How does that sound?
what'd be cool is if I could right click any file on my hard drive and press "Copy Public Link" like in Dropbox, and it would upload it to mysite.com/filehosting/file.zip
Is there any programs that aren't Dropbox that can do that? I love Dropbox but skipping out the transferring to the public folder step would be pretty cool.

also the dropbox bandwidth limit

I used to use one but I cant remember the name...
Also I was messing around with windows context menus on a previous project of mine and I couldn't get some shit to work after days of trying... I don't think I want to go through that again!
Do you mean it will go to clipboard or it will open the link in browser?

what's that referring to?

This. It'd be great to have the link before it's done uploading.

Good job this isn't zScreen we're talking about then isn't it!
I answered his question?
Does it? Is it as memory inefficient as everyone says though?

~20MB, whoopdy do, it's not like any of the people complaining about it don't have more than 2GB ram anyway.

I don't, I am on a rather shitty notebook.
Who would like to see what I recommended on post 40? Should I go ahead and work on what I said?
Also if I do that, I'll make it optional to chose whether you want the application to be preset or not. I mean, you'll either have chosen where you want to upload before, and when you run the app you'll just select and get a link, or you'll capture and then select from a window where you want to upload, how to shorten the link etc
C&C?
ITT we bash this app for stupid shit
Here's a legitimate question: Does this support SFTP? As in transferring via SSH?
Yes do it.

Good question, the answer's no... I couldn't find an SFTP library that's free...

It's not even using 30mb. It's been allocated 30mb. I mean fuck dwm.exe is "using" 600mb of ram for me right now and people don't have issue with that?

No it's not allocated, it's using the ram.
Also no one cares, this is not about zscreen, ffs.
Also no one cares, this is not about zscreen, ffs.
This. Please stop talking about ZScreen, it's getting really annoying.
Uploading to imgur takes ages, it sometimes just crashes after like 1 minute... Anyone know if there's actually something to do?
Good question, the answer's no... I couldn't find an SFTP library that's free...
Well, that explains why absolutely fucking nothing has SFTP support :argh:
I suppose I could kludge together a FTP-SFTP bridge (sftp all files in /ftp/upscreen every five minutes then remove them, then make FTP's /upscreen point there)
