I think Nvidia's website still has the buggy ones from like two days ago
The most recent are 353.62 and get automatically installed automatically.
automatically installed automatically.
Thats a bit redundant
I tried the media installation and it's stuck at "Getting updates"
I just want Cortana :(
That lock screen before signing in is so fucking stupid. Great for a tablet or phone, but for my desktop? Gross
I added a registry key that disables it, so here's how
Go to your registry (Start -> type regedit)
Browse to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Personalization
If Personalization isn't there, right click on Windows, click New -> Key. Name it Personalization. Then click it and in the right window, right click, New -> DWORD Value. Name it "NoLockScreen". double click it, change the 0 to a 1, save. Done.
No reboot even needed. Want it back, change the 1 to a 0
This been posted yet? If you're still having trouble, use this:

It'll force the download and installation, select upgrade.
I hope this works even though I'm already on the RTM build. My refresh failed and I need this to work.

tired.
very
tired
I should've just waited. I had to force shut down my PC because it was stuck on "installing update 1 of 1", and then I deleted the SoftwareDistribution folder, then I rand the wuauclt.exe update thing through cmd and then Update said it was "Checking requirements" for a way extended amount of time, so I tried to stop it. The button got grayed out and then nothing happened again. So I said, "fuck it, maybe now I'll just restart" and now I'm left on the restart screen, except now it says it's installing 2 updates. Fuck ym life, what is going on.
Ok installing windows 10 off usb now
I pressed to download to USB, its on 18% and theres nothing in the USB
is this normal?
so i downloaded windows 10 to my thumb drive, and what should i do if i don't have a cd key
actually, do I just run the setup.exe on the flash drive first?
so i downloaded windows 10 to my thumb drive, and what should i do if i don't have a cd key
If you have a currently valid install of Windows, then you don't have to do anything. It grabs the key from that.
If you don't, you need a valid Windows 7 or 8.1 license to be eligible for the upgrade.
Holy shit this "Getting Updates" for the installer is super fucking slow
Can I delete $Windows.~BT, $Windows.~WS, Windows.old, and everything inside SoftwareDistribution/Download after Windows 10 is installed?
I think Nvidia's website still has the buggy ones from like two days ago
Can confirm, they are, well then.
im on windows 10 now, install went fine
but my nvidia drivers are failing
Guys, I really hate to be annoying, but I'm seriously wondering how the hell I'm going to unfuck my computer. I had to force it off, and I'm back on the desktop. I'm not really sure what to do at this point. Windows is giving me no information on what updates may or may not be incomplete and the windows update panel hung on system req check. What the fuck.
nevermind, restarting it 5 times fixed it.
loving this so far.

Gah... :tired:
So, I was in the process of updating, when my PC hung on one of the restarts. I got back to desktop safely, but now it re-downloaded W10 and is stuck on "Preparing for installation..."
Do I wait it out, or am I needing to do something?
