Push Winkey + P until extend is selected

Welp, I just took a nap and when I woke up my computer was already running Windows 10
I like how the error sounds are less aggressive now :v:

Nvidia? Having the same issue, Win-P tell me to fuck off

got to the part where it install drivers, graphics driver restarted and when it came back it was just a black screen. waited 10~ minutes and nothing happened, so i restarted, then it restores me to win 7 and takes me to startup recovery, and when i reboot once more, i get the same black screen when i should be at the login screen, and my windows is deactivated. reboot into safe mode, uninstall driver, reboot again, install driver, reboot, same black screen. this is some dank shit.
edit: SWEET FUCKING CHRIST the entire install was on my main monitor which uses DVI, but windows fucking prioritizes the HDMI input on my graphics card for some unfathomable fucking reason, so it was showing everything on my turned off television at the end of the install. FUCK now i have to sit through that shit all over again for no fucking reason i'm going to kill myself.
restart pc
Did that like 6 times now.
This update is really licking my ass right now
I finally fixed my PC enough that it's not giving me any errors when I check for updates... But now it's not detecting Windows 10 as an available update. I'm afraid to run the cmd line thing, but oh well. Perhaps I have no choice. I should also point out that the Media Creation Tool is saying that the Setup failed and that I should reboot (after I rebooted)
[editline]29th July 2015[/editline]
I am 3 hours into not having Windows 10 and this fucking blows dick
I can't do anything about the screen issue yet sinc win still installing but thanks for the tips!
Ah shit it installed home edition
[editline]29th July 2015[/editline]

[editline]29th July 2015[/editline]
lol I closed the laptop screen and it automatically went into sleep mode because I guess my old power settings are gone :v: thankfully it kicked right back up to updating when I pressed the power button
I forgot. Windows 10. I can plug my phone into my computer and use my mouse to control it, which didn't work on Win7
Now if only the keyboard controlled typing

Cortana magically downgrades your Android 5.0+ device to KitKat or lower.

How do I re-enable metro?
Alright! Logged in and it's setting up my apps!
Fuck I still have 25% to go and it's already 4 AM here
I have work tomorrow I want to get some sleep
Also, how the flying fuck do I make the search bar show up in the Start Menu? I've already disabled Cortana and all that, but if I remove the search icon it doesn't appear in the start menu at all.
In all fairness, the visible search bar has been sort of moot since Vista and is now depreciated. You just press start (in Vista/7, it selected the search bar automatically) and then type what you want and that's how its been for almost 10 years. Its no different, you just don't see it anymore until you type something. :v:
Now on a touch device this would be different, but it makes more sense to have the search icon in the task bar in that case anyway IMO. But it still works the same way with the soft keyboard.
Microsoft really fucked up the whole Windows 10 upgrade thing
Like 50% of people trying to use it gets random errors and things going wrong.
They really didn't test this, did they?
And not to mention, the fucking Win10 taskbar icon that many people never got for no reason. Does anyone even know how that works still? It's like a complete mystery, because Microsoft can't communicate worth shit.
apparently i installed pro.
also, broke some drivers, no biggie.
i didnt upgrade, i did a clean install.
What's the process for deleting those files and doing the command line thing again? I've lost it with the rising amount of posts.
76%, configuring settings, this computer is testing me
Edited
When it jumps to 81% :ok:
Is firefox very broken for anyone else since updating?
Only issue I'm having now is sometimes the Twitter app crashes.
Alright! Windows 10 is up and running! Now what do I do with Windows.old?

Don't bother and just do this.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software-download/windows10 (modified the link to go to MS Australia if your flagdog is correct, not sure if it changes what you download)
This worked with no fuss for me.

I used Disc Cleanup to remove the old windows stuff. Was 25GB worth of shit. You won't be able to roll back obviously without pulling out your trusty dusty disc
