ok so I have to use an old gpu right now (hd 4830) is there any way I can make drivers for it work on windows 10? It's only for windows 8 right now or do I have to wait?
How do I re-enable metro?
There's a button somewhere in the settings to enable the full screen start menu.
So with just the WU version of Windows 10 (not on USB) can you do a fresh install? because I've only got 10GB left on my C:\ drive.
Despite the fact that I chose "Don't keep anything" in the installer, it seems the installer really wanted to keep all my old shit, just not have it functional or keep any of it installed, but still have all of its files backed up. For fucks sakes, I wish I noticed that before I started redownloading everything. Now I have to format and install again :downs:
i literally need help now. i installed windows 10 (for some reason home edition) from the USB drive, and windows 8.1 is installed on the same hard drive but another partition, is there a way to restore the partition so bios could read it
yo yo yo is your $windows.~bt folder still not there???? make sure you are 100% up to date including KB2952664(win7) or KB2976978(win8) then run "wuauclt.exe /updatenow" in an admin command prompt [editline]28th July 2015[/editline] also don't run setup.exe in there just be patient and wait for midnight eastern time
Did this, starting to download win10, then this came up:

It's in your windows.old folder.

The new game panel thing is pretty cool :v (Win key + G ingame).
Wow this sucks dick, I reserved my copy of Win10 when you first could but it got lost when I had to reinstall Win7 on my desktop and Win8 on my laptop. So now I have to wait >:(
But if you window a game it will force VSync regardless of your game setting. Just a PSA.
I'm sure that has always been standard behaviour, it's not something new, all the windows are double buffered if I remember correctly.
Ugh, managed to fix my pc by force uninstalling the nvidia driver, but I'm still stuck on 10166 and microsoft hasn't sent me my windows 10 key even though I reserved on 2 pcs

Is it normal for Windows 7 to update for fucking ever? Everytime I install updates, it says there's more, and it never ends. I had to disable Windows updates entirely, because it would take good 20 minutes for my PC to shut down because of it. But now there's Windows 10, and I want ot upgrade, but I can't get the important updates.
What if... what if I hadn't done any updates for 1.5 years? :v:
Have fun installing 208 updates, followed by 8ish more, followed by 8ish more followed by more followed by fucking god damnit

I'm anticipating 400+ after the next update. :suicide:
I just migrated from 7, and at first 10 feels like one of those shitty knockoff Windows things you'd see on TV or Newgrounds in like 2005. It feels like flash but it grows on you
Have fun installing 208 updates, followed by 8ish more, followed by 8ish more followed by more followed by fucking god damnit
god fucking damnit is there any way to make it automated?
So apparently Microsoft is pushing a broken driver on my end, which is annoying because I can't update to the full version of win 10 :(
god fucking damnit is there any way to make it automated?
Pretty sure you can go to the update center and have it set to automatically download and install updates. I don't know if it'll do it completely without any input though
tablet mode in windows 10 is weird on my surface pro 3 i dont know if i like it
I'm forced into a tiny resolution and nvidia drivers won't download... Nevermind it fixed itself
All I know is, if I open Incognito mode on Chrome, Cortana better keep her little mouth fuckin' shut, and forget she saw anything
So can you turn off UAC in this one? In Windows 8.1 you had to make some registry hacks and after that the Metro apps stopped working
