If you have a old pc and Windows 7 barely runs on it - dont upgrade
otherwise yes
Oh fuck I always thought 10 was lighter
IT STARTED AGAIN! Guys, I need to ask you something. If I install Windows 10 from the ISO, how can I activate it? Do I use my Windows 8.1 serial key?
I think all you need to do is use default cd key (VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T) and if you've entered into upgrade program then it should activate without any problems.
upgrade to windows 10 home STATUS failed
3 times
fuck

i take it my pc just has to be on long enough for it to download?
[editline]29th July 2015[/editline]
also the "Get windows 10" window just says "please wait" :(

You're suppose to upgrade and then do a clean install from there. The serial keys will not work and you will have to call up Microsoft.
So I tried using the Win10 media downloader thing to make a flash drive so I can update all of my PCs.
Then

What the fuck.
I set the Windows 10 Upgrade to be in 2 days from now, but my computer doesn't have the option Shut down or Restart without applying some Updates first (which is definitely Win10)
What the fuck? Why even have that option if you're gonna lie to me and upgrade anyway?
My Ethernet still won't connect. I'm getting real close to just rolling back to 8.1

I mean, it's not lying.

Clear your Windows update downloads folder.

I'm going to try just getting the ISO and then using Rufus to put it on my USB stick. You'd think Microsoft could make a program that can do something as simple as that, but I guess not.
Is there a way to change shortcuts for the multidesktop feature?
Basically from:
win + ctrl + tab
to:
ctrl + alt + tab
Multiple desktop feature is so good...

Oh god is it really win + ctrl + tab? I need it to be ctrl + alt + arrow keys or else it will drive me insane.

win + ctrl + arrow keys work. I am very used to ctrl + alt + tab from linux and my desktop keyboard does not have the a windows key on the left, so that is double not optimal for me.
something happened

What disto/DE are you using that it's ctrl + alt + tab? I've never used one that isn't ctrl + alt + arrow.

I am using Mint with cinnamon, tho it also is like this on gnome. ctrl + alt + tab is pretty much alt tab, just for desktops. ctrl + alt + arrow also works on it, but with tab is faster/more convenient for me.

Hmm, doesn't work for me on Fedora/XFCE, but I don't remember ever using it in Ubuntu/Deb.
I still have yet to get the update notification, what's taking so damn long?
Since the update i had trouble with my Elantech Touchpad on my Packard Bell. The Windows default drivers dont really work well. For example the Edge Scroll and the sensitivity didnt really work.
If you have the same problem i would recommend you download " TouchPad_ELANTECH_15.6.0.3_W10x64_A.zip " from the Acer Website.
Just go to www.acer.com > Support > Download Drivers for the "Aspire V7-481" and choose Windows 10 64 bit.
It will look like this but not in german. This site helped me a lot ww

I have an Aspire E1-571 but when I go to the Acer website and search for drivers it shows outdated drivers. Will I have problems if I install the ones for Aspire V7-481?

Windows automatically installed my drivers for my aspire v5. Just wait a bit and things will work out. shouldn't take any longer than 15-20 minutes
I can't get any Ethernet connectivity. When I try to troubleshoot it says I don't have a valid IP configuration.
Anyone? Reinstalling drivers does fuck all.
Oh fuck I always thought 10 was lighter
Windows 10 is lighter than windows 7 and 8
Everytime I launch steam & login, within 10 minutes the internet on my PC crashes. (Only on my pc, internet works on everything else) only way to fix is to restart, anyone else having this problem?

I'm using Windows 10 since a month ago
Windows 10 installed, only a few things are broken so far, this went much smoother than expected
Windows Store app lags so bad when scrolling.
