Guys help please. I can't find anything on the internet. I can't open anything windows related but my old programs all work fine:

I can't even open windows update or settings or photo viewer or anything.
I had a similar problem in the technical preview build, for me it was the result of incompatible graphics hardware.
If you have both an integrated and dedicated card, disable the integrated card in BIOS.
My start menu won't work. Pressing the Windows button on the screen and on the keyboard does nothing. Anyone else experience this?
is there anyway to stream xbone in the bg? I want to search for games in MCC but it's not gonna search unless i'm streaming
oh, and is there anyway to turn the quality up? High stream quality is only using like 5mbps and both devices are on ethernet so it can go way beyond that
Is Windows Photo Viewer just completely gone now?

No, I upgraded from 8.1 and still have it.

I doubt any of you guys would be able to answer due to how specific this is, but I'm at a fucking loss. I've been trying to use my Elgato Game Capture HD to record some footage, but for some reason my capture device keeps disconnecting and reconnecting, interrupting the capture. I post this here because it seems like some sort of USB serial bus issue. My best theory is that it's drawing too much power or something.
However, my current setup worked just fine on Windows 8.1. I'm super fucking frustrated. I've heard that disabling USB 3.0 would help. I've also tried disabling the "Usb suspension power" thing to no avail. I tried updating all the drivers for all the applications, and the applications themselves. It just won't fucking give me a break. Any ideas???
Well, after doing some snooping around, turns out the reason why my PC isn't sleeping is probably due to my audio drivers. They seem to be making a request to the OS to have it not sleep.
Tried overriding the requests, but I don't think it worked. Guess I'll just have to wait and see whether MS fixes it, or some new audio drivers come out for my sound card soon.
Hey everyone, I need help! Please save my computer! (This is an alt btw, I can't access my main account on this computer).
I installed Windows 10 and everything went fine. But once I reached the login screen and put in my old password for my admin account (which I know is 100% correct, it's a local account too so no resetting it as far as I know) it kept saying it was incorrect. I figured this was something I could easily fix by going on my other account (though it isn't an admin one), it just keeps logging me out.
Now I'm stuck in a shitty loop where I can't do anything because I can't log into any accounts, does anybody know what can be done to possibly fix this?
Just FYI, Windows 10 has p2p update sharing on by default (image from reddit user thesuperzapper)

If you're wondering where your upload bandwidth went.

Odd, because my clean-installed copy doesn't seem to have it at all.
I'm getting some pretty fucking terrible boot times after upgrading to w10, am I alone in this boat?

First thing I've turned off on all my installs.

Yeah, from what I have gathered it's nvidia optimus shitting things up. But in my bios I can only disable the dedicated card, not the integrated card. Im still having the same problem with the nvidia card disabled however. So, I don't know what to do.

How can I get rid of/fill the blank space on the left?
Dragging the menu from the top should shrink it a bit. You can also add a few more useful shortcuts through the new "control panel" to fill the space.

so yesterday the download was roughly 3GB, now somehow this morning it turned out to be 5GB

It looks like it was removed because of the new photos app. I'm totally fine with it, the new one has .gif support and looks slick as fuck.
Tried out the Xbox One streaming to PC. Really needs some work.
Half the time the Xbox app just freezes up and doesn't respond. When you do get streaming working, there's some slight input delay, so FPS games suffer a lot.
Also all of these websites saying that you can stream TV and stream gameplay at 60fps are outright liars. Neither of those are true.

Streams at 60fps for me, at about 9Mb/s. They need to improve the quality, but it definitely 60fps for me.

Huh, weird. Could be because my Xbox is on wireless connection. I'll have to stretch out some ethernet cable to my Xbox and try it wired tomorrow.
Still doesn't fix the app freezing a lot, though.

If your Xbox and PC are in the same room just use the PC as an AP for the xbox via wired connection

Got my Xbox in the living room and my PC in my bedroom, so I can't do that.
I've been looking into those powerline adapters that go into a power socket. Seems like wizardry, but Xbox recommends them as a solution.
So is windows 10 stable to upgrade to?

Read through what some problems people had to see if it would relate to you in any way.
If not then yeah, I've been having a completely fine time with it.
There's an actual way to have two different wallpapers on 2 separate screens? If I set 2 different ones at the same time it works but I have to use a context menu to change them around and after like 5 minutes thye switch and that is really annoying.

What is the point of this? Save bandwidth? Seems like it would just be a massive attack vector for viruses that could create faulty updates and then send them to other computers.
I don't like the new windows 10 icon, but this is great
