There's an actual way to have two different wallpapers on 2 separate screens? If I set 2 different ones at the same time it works but I have to use a context menu to change them around and after like 5 minutes thye switch and that is really annoying.
Works fine here, without messy settings [t]http://link-removed.link/i/2015/07/15-07-30_16-28-50-Settings.png[/t] [t]http://link-removed.link/i/2015/07/15-07-30_16-28-23.jpg[/t]

Anyone else having issues with programs that minimize to the notification area? For me when I minimize to notification area, Nettalk(an IRC client) fails to reload properly when I click on the icon on the taskbar, I know it's nothing major but just a tad annoying.
What is the point of this? Save bandwidth? Seems like it would just be a massive attack vector for viruses that could create faulty updates and then send them to other computers.
It's useful if you have more than 1 computer in your household (all with W10) and one of them downloaded the update before the other ones; it'll be used as a 'seed' for a faster download across all other computers in your network. It's actually pretty useful, in that regard. Also, So how many things do we actually have to disable on this thing?
So is windows 10 stable to upgrade to?
It killed my laptop and haven't been able to find a solution yet. [editline]29th July 2015[/editline] So no, if it's got nvidia optimus.
So has anyone been able to update their nvidia graphics card? I just get installer failed or whatever when I try. Can't install geforce experience which is really annoying since I can't record now
Installing went fine, everything seems to be working, but... JESUS CHRIST MY EYES. Why did they crank the brightness of everything up, is this just me or is there some option to unfuck this that I'm not finding?

That part is guaranteed fake. Can't speak for anything else since I don't give a shit what MS knows about me [editline]29th July 2015[/editline] oh wait no, I can speak for the wifi sense thing, that's FUD too
So has anyone been able to update their nvidia graphics card? I just get installer failed or whatever when I try. What I did is install the Intel VGA drivers on my laptop (it was whining about being older, I installed them anyway), and presto... NVidia drivers :D
Doesn't that change them every one minute? I want them to stay the same.
My method for doing that in 8 was to stitch together an image in paint/w.e and set to Span instead of Fill
oh wait no, I can speak for the wifi sense thing, that's FUD too
Wait, you sure about that? I may have read something about that in passing, can't find the source right now.
So is windows 10 stable to upgrade to?
As long as your hardware is compatible driver wise. It's been really solid for me so far.
Any fixes for Corsair Link? it was working when I first upgraded but now I just get the "this app can't run on this PC" message. Fixed, Downloaded latest version from here. http://www.corsair.com/en-us/support/downloads
help, i downloaded the upgrade and waited for preparation, and got a damn error C190011F
If you're updating on AMD vid card, just make sure you got the latest drivers. I have them and am still experiencing some crashing. Just am going to have to wait it out while they get these bugs figured out
My method for doing that in 8 was to stitch together an image in paint/w.e and set to Span instead of Fill
Shitty, I wish they kept the old functionality of setting wallpapers per monitor. I guess I'll do that.
15.7.1 was released today, try those. But 15.7 has been working perfectly for me on my 7950.
The start menu search bar is taking forever to find anything. Looking for cmd and it hasn't found it even after 10 minutes. What am I missing?
The start menu search bar is taking forever to find anything. Looking for cmd and it hasn't found it even after 10 minutes. What am I missing?
Sounds fucked.
Cortana seems to accept some pretty long names.
microsoft what are you doing sthap [sp] yesterday it was 2GB, this morning 5GB and now its 8GB[/sp]

Once you remove things like the mail app and the zune music and movie apps by deleting them through Powershell and you disable all of the Live menu stuff through the (admittedly kinda convoluted) options menus, you're left with a really nice, speedy, clean OS. As for Cortana using cloud stuff and tracking your browsing habits to make recommendations to you, I honestly don't mind since there's not much Microsoft can do with the info that I like to look at anime titties and I like to buy video games off of Amazon. If you don't like Cortana you can just not use a MS account and switch it off. Turning off Cortana does mean you have to go through an extra step to use the search bar though, and Cortana itself is relatively benign. It's just a novelty like Siri, fun for old people and normal people but for people like us that understand advanced techniques like how to use Google she's pretty useless and non-intrusive.
:snip:
Is it possible to pin stuff on the left side of the start menu?
I used the media creation tool to upgrade, Windows 10 doesn't activate. Hopefully it's just a temporary server issue, or otherwise a bunch of people have just fucked up :v:
Strange, I used the Media Creation tool and I'm Activated (Not including Product ID for obvious reasons)
Welp, I've attempted a "Reset Computer" and i've been spending the last few hours waiting for 99% completion to progress. Is it normal for Windows 10 to take forever on formatting? :frown: -edited- welp it finished.. Aaannd it's blue screening; wonderful. " Inaccessible_Boot_Device " ; might have to reinstall.. :suicide:
Anyone else using a Logitech G510s here? When I use the volume control wheel, my screen flashes which is really weird.
Update your graphics drivers - fixed it for me. Correction, this is not fixed.
Upgraded last night to Win 10. Edge is very snappy and it feels similar to Win 7, it was totally worth the wait in my opinion.
Great, just great! Microsoft messed with the scaling again. So I have to go to every hundred apps to disable display scaling on high DPI settings.
I have a question related to Windows 10, mainly buying it but the thing is, which license i should get? Since I own both laptop and PC and would like to make an upgrade on them and end the vicious cycle of pirating Windows in my house.
