I'd rather they just use the old Start menu design if they're intent on switching back. I don't much like that Metro bit, since it looks like all those tiles have menu entries anyway.
I've been using it for ages and just realized you could do this. functionally identical to the classic windows 9x start menu plus you have cortana for just typing in an app instead of having to sort through everything
after some googling http://superuser.com/questions/875186/how-to-add-remove-windows-10-pin-sign-in apparently I'm just stuck using a pin screen GREAT
Nope. Go to sign in options, Forgot my Pin, Continue, then cancel before entering one.
Bit of a crosspost, but, how stable's 10 been so far? Any huge issues? I can apparently upgrade now, but I don't know if I should do so or wait.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows10/comments/3f5won/tablet_view_is_showing_saved_porn_images/ A word of warning from Reddit.
Dude sounds beta as fuck.
yep, xonar dg
I'm using a Xonar DG sound card with no sound/video stuttering in Chrome, I'm using these drivers at the moment: http://maxedtech.com/asus-xonar-unified-drivers/
Brilliant. It downloads to like 95 percent and then the Something Happened error pops up and nowww I have to restart the whole download :( It took me like 2 hours to do it in the first place
What the... UPDATE: clap, clap, clap Microsoft. Thanks for adding W3SVC (Basically IIS Web Server) service into client OS by default. Disabled it.

I bought a laptop for my parents a while back and they're eligible for the upgrade to Win10 so I was showing it to them after having had it installed for about 5 minutes. Went "Look! You can have you start menu back!" I opened the start menu and a few moments later I noticed that there's my porn pictures cycling through like a little embarrassing slideshow
Keep being told to get some Anti-Spyware software yet I already have some. Wat?
Does windows 10 have photoDNA built into it? I obviously don't look at cp but I don't like the thought of all my pictures and shit being flicked through by someone/something, pretty much treating me like a suspect.

But it's 2015,your shit is already getting scanned.
Yeah, you're fucking right. Sigh. Well time to download all the scat-porn, give it/them something interesting. All the scat porn.
Man, it seems like a lot of people are having issues with sound cards in some way with Windows 10. At least that's the most common hardware/driver issue I'm seeing on various forums. I guess it makes sense since sound card manufacturers barely ever update their drivers after releasing the hardware. I just hope my issue gets fixed soon. I want my PC to sleep, dammit, and I doubt Creative is ever going to update their drivers for my sound card again.
As far as we know, it's only sold on the azure marketplace and isn't built in. But it's 2015,your shit is already getting scanned.
Basically. If you're doing something illegal that endangers someone or multiples of people, then you're gonna get fucked. If you're just downloading illegal things, such as linux distros, then you'll be A-OK. Don't stress scans on your comp because it happens already, and you're fine.
[t]http://i.cubeupload.com/3AuPub.png[/t] This keeps happening when I try to update, why. I also tried searching for 0x80244019 but it gave me results about Windows XP.
Had 2 BSODs so far today, one whilst just browsing the internet and watching a video on VLC, and the second happened whilst actually shutting down
oh god I have to delete some things
PhotoDNA is a real thing that facebook and onedrive uses. People have been busted by it. I don't collect loli or cp but I just don't want shit sniffing my files.
Day 3 of windows 10 and I must have some god like install since I've had no problems. I guess I'm just really lucky?
[t]http://i.imgur.com/3sUtrcl.png[/t] Anyone know the correct format? I've literally tried everything to get this read only attribute off the folder but nothing's working.
So no way to fix this? It is getting annoying, and I googled already but couldn't find anyone else with the same problem

Has anyone figured out how to enable face recognition login/Windows Hello yet? It's not appearing under sign-in options for me.
High contrast mode? Check accessibility settings
No, it is not enabled, it only happens with the new apps, like Weather, Store, Contacts, Photos, but the other icons look fine
Day 3 of windows 10 and I must have some god like install since I've had no problems. I guess I'm just really lucky?
The people who have no problems really have no need to vocalize themselves on the internet as strongly as those who do.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/bsrPJa4.png[/t] This is the only account and this is an administrator account. What the fuck. EDIT: Everything from before I upgraded is now read only and it won't change from that. Jesus Christ.
The people who have no problems really have no need to vocalize themselves on the internet as strongly as those who do.
Most people who are having problems forced the update when they shouldn't have. It was okay to do it if you felt like diagnosing problems and making sure your hardware and drivers for the hardware worked but it doesn't seem like most people who are complaining did that. The reason that there is a staggered rollout was it was going to throw people on Windows 10 who were using known working configurations. So the people who had hardware that as guaranteed to work got it first, if you didn't get the notification to upgrade the drivers for your hardware most likely weren't where Microsoft wanted them to be.
