Cortana can't connect here, anyone else having this problem?
what's the best solution for controlling windows 10 using an android phone? Also I'm looking for that one program that links the notifications from your phone to your pc, being able to text people and all.
Cortana can't connect here, anyone else having this problem?
Yes. Long story short, you live in the wrong country. If you desperately want it, change your country to US or UK.
I updated and now.... Welp. I'have had nothing but fucking problems with this shit. I think it's time to downgrade from this rushed piece of shit.
I've updated and reverted back to 8.1 twice. I'm trying to get my internet connection working but still to no avail. The wireless and the Ethernet connection aren't working on 10. Any ideas?
Install the drivers manually. [editline]31st July 2015[/editline] I've also got a feeling that people having loads of problems are upgrading not clean installing but not sure.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/9sdHx5e.png[/t] I really need to start to learn and adapt to new things, but I always end up using the damn Windows 7 start menu. Maybe I'll give the Windows 10 one a shot... :/
Windows 7 start menu wastes a lot of space compared to 8/10. It's kinda ridiculous.

Hey if win10 came out why is not letting me install it? My laptop specs are not the issue and the pop-up says its we're validating win10 for your pc.
So, I'm trying to download windows 10 via the Media creation tool. On my PC with windows 7, it's downloading fine. However, for my Laptop with Windows 8.1, it's stuck at 0%. Now, they have both had the update reserved and they both meet the Window 10 requirements, so why isn't it downloading on my Windows 8.1 Laptop?
so i installed all the drivers and everything works like a charm
Alright, so I'm about to install Win10. Does it give you the option to save all your shit like reinstalling Win7 does? Like, I had to reinstall a few weeks ago because I got hit and run'd with a virus of some sort that fucked my internet on https sites entirely, and it gave me the option to keep all of my shit from my Windows folder, document-wise, renaming the folder Windows.old. I don't want to have to back everything up if I can just go grab it and delete the rest later
The ISO that the developer preview shits out, is it a genuine one, or would I have to pay for a license if I installed it on another computer?
Just restart a bunch of times.
Yeah... it did that for me.... a bunch of times. It wouldn't stop. Then I tried to do a restore point, and it failed. I'm back on windows 7. That was the nail in the coffin for me. I'm gonna wait until that August patch I've been hearing, because this shit just seems like incomplete garbage.

Is it just me or is the way the notification center charms bar (or whatever you wanna call it) behaves kinda silly on multi monitor setups?
Fucking Windows keeps installing a Realtek driver, even after I have stopped it with "wushowhide". Nothing I've seemed to do works.. the only thing that I am yet to do is turn off on-board sound in the BIOS. Anyone had/having this issue? Might have solved it.. some dude on some forum said to deny permissions to system in the realtek directory.. it seems to have worked.
Just you Only appears on my primary display
Yeah, that's the thing. Everything other than the action center (WiFi networks, bluetooth devices) appears on the screen where the task bar is, but the action center just shoves itself onto my primary screen.

ok what the FUCK is this [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/13796438/Screenshot%202015-07-31%2014.56.45.png[/t] What "organization", this is my own home PC that I built myself this wasn't here yesterday
So problem sorted with the Cortana thing, changed my location back to the United States as well as the Speech part and I can turn her on now. Though the language pack is still on English (United Kingdom)
The mail app doesn't show my inbox of emails. It'll send email fine, but it won't receive it, yet it receives just fine on my phone using the same fucking server
I've been getting that critical error once in a while, I have no idea how to fix it, I really wouldn't use Win 10 as my main system yet though, too risky right now.
I have a Surface Pro 2 and installed it on that first, had no issues with it. So I figured I'd use my main PC which is running windows 7. I think the fact I came from windows 7 without a clean install was the problem. I just can't do a clean install right now, and who knows, maybe the august patch will fix the windows 7 problems.
I'm on my 5th download and this happens WHY DOES IT NEED TO DOWNLOAD THE WHOLE THING AGAIN EVERY TIME IT FAILS
Just download the ISO and use that.
I am [editline]31st July 2015[/editline] Well i'm using the "media creation tool" and trying to create a bootable USB stick seeing as the upgrade option leaves me with "failed to initialize the working directory" The first time I did this it worked but I'm an idiot and I forgot to change the language so it was in czech or something, now i'm trying to do it again it's telling me this :suicide:
Is there a way of disabling the three-finger-tap gesture which opens the search menu on laptops? It's incredibly annoying, it thinks I'm tapping 3 fingers (therefore randomly opening search) when really I'm using 2 finger scroll. The same goes for the two finger tap for right click.
Windows 10 is really grating on me. It wasn't working on my dual monitor set up, and nvidia wouldn't install drivers. I read that doing a reinstall of my graphics drivers would work, but now it crashes every time I try to install them. Also, it takes ten minutes to start up, stuck on a black screen forever.
The ISO that the developer preview shits out, is it a genuine one, or would I have to pay for a license if I installed it on another computer?
I would like to know this as well.
