I would also like to be able to make an iso image of my own Windows, basically a fresh windows with the latest updates. So i don't have to try and find a windows 8.1.1 iso.
http://www.businessinsider.com/this-is-what-happened-to-windows-9-2014-10 I hope that this "best OS" has the ability to Set up an installation medium that doesen't prompt for a Microsoft Account by default and has all the Windows App Store features disabled. That would be a big step in enterprise acceptance. A better Windows Backup Feature would be really nice, possibly with the addition to automatically push resources to an external location.
Why does it matter that it prompts for a Microsoft account per default? There's a button called "Sign in without a Microsoft account" on the exact same screen. Is it just a matter of sending the right message or what?

Since companies use AD to manage users, there's absolutely no reason for it to be there. It doesen't matter if there's a tiny option on the bottom on the screen that lets you use a local account. All I'm asking for is an option to have an image that does not feature such things. Or atleast provide an option to disable it using an Answer file. Same goes with the Windows Modern UI components. Honestly, Companies don't want to have a Windows Store, Companies don't want to be prompted to use a Microsoft Account and don't want the Modern UI Apps. [editline]15th October 2014[/editline] Enterprise users and Consumers have vastly different needs and wants. You can't please both parties with the same product.
I'm still hoping Microsoft includes a feature that lets users select what CPU priority a program should automatically switch to when it's booted and a feature that temporarily disables unnecessary background processes when doing stuff like playing games. Those things would really help people trying to play games on older/weaker PCs without using some janky, unreliable program like IOBit/Razer Gamebooster. [editline]15th October 2014[/editline] I don't suppose there's a way we can submit ideas to them, can we?

The Enterprise releases of Win 10 could very well behave exactly like you want and we wont know because we don't have access to a preview for that yet. Enterprise users wont be running this as it is such an early preview, so why would MS waste time making one?

I was hoping to see those features in the RTM Release. I've been sending a lot of feedback since day one in order to bring attention to some much needed features. I'm curious as to which features MS will implement or refine in order to please the enterprise sector, but I don't really have high hopes for it.

But there is still a lot of room for improvement. They should hopefully put some of the most requested stuff in at least as they are asking users what they expect. Whether or not enterprise admins are bothering to take part is a different question.

The feature additions to CMD and PS are very useful, and they could improve it a lot more. I am looking forward to the day when the Windows Console is up there with the counterparts from OSX and Linux. It's been extremely stable for me. I upgraded from 7 though, so make sure you have windows 8 or 8.1 drivers installed.
clean install master race
technical preview is pretty much flawless on my retina macbook other than screen dimming. if windows automatically dims the screen (via disconnecting a power source or some other method) that brightness will become the maximum brightness you can set using the hardware buttons on the macbook
Been running it on ESXi5.5 and used it for testing project deployments. I didn't really notice anything our of the ordinary.
My 10 install kind of up and hosed itself earlier in the week. Just stopped booting. System restore only helped for one boot, then it'd break again. I still have no idea why. :v:
My Tech Preview BSOD:
Been testing it on my Surface Pro 3. So far it works great, I just wish their was a touch gesture for touchscreen users to go back and forth between desktops (Like the three finger swipe on OSX or something like that).

Hmm, Skyrim no longer responds to keyboard input. However, it reads the mouse, and ENB (graphics mod) controls still work with keyboard.

If that doesn't work, open the steam overlay first, then check if it responds to keyboard input again.
Opening and closing Steam Overlay fixed the issue. Thanks!

i don't really know how it gets so messy
tbf there's a flash shining on it, you wouldn't notice any if it was off
You should still wash your screen once every 2 months.
