anybody else having trouble getting teamspeak to work on windows ten at the moment? i keep getting some "failed to convert string nan to float" bullshit
TS was working perfectly fine for me with the latest build.
Ok, what's the chances of Halo MCC PC bring announced at E3 or whatever soon? Honestly, I'm hella excited for cross platform [editline]22nd January 2015[/editline] Doing so will be a great investment to get gamers to upgrade to Win10
Its literally a free upgrade so with the promises of running any halo and all of the other free features are constantly adding up to reasons get windows 10. The hype is real
I'm actually really looking forward to W10, the adaptation of the Xbox and W10 might actually make me consider buying one. Everyone seems to think it's shit and pointless, but man, I like having all my shit in one place. Being able to play and do my normal PC tasks in the same environment is great.
The current technical preview downloads are unavailable from MS atm. Apparently the consumer preview is coming within a week.
I really like what there doing so far with connecting everything together. Thats one thing i love about Google is that they connect to each other accross devices. Im glad Microsoft is doing this with a whole OS across all platforms. Keeps it nice and simple.
You know what would be even better? Not making console exclusives so you don't have to buy an Xbone in the first place.
As much as I would love that, I know it won't happen. This is how big CEOs of companies think how to get their user base.
Its literally a free upgrade so with the promises of running any halo and all of the other free features are constantly adding up to reasons get windows 10. The hype is real
Windows 10 runs Halo to the same effect as plugging your Xbox into your monitor. It streams from the console to the OS, that's about it. Essencially what Steam does, but in reverse.
Its literally a free upgrade so with the promises of running any halo and all of the other free features are constantly adding up to reasons get windows 10. The hype is real
But to play halo on pc, youd still need an Xbox one and halo for xbone, making the point moot. If i ubderstand it right, itll be something similiar compared to the psvita streaming ps4 content to it.
I think he is thinking in the lines that there will be a game like Halo 2 Vista, meaning he'll need 10 to play it, if it ever comes out.
.... is it bad that after watching the conference I kind of want to switch to the new project spartan browser? My only thing is that I live and die on plugins like adblock, QR code generator, ImprovedYoutube, etc. I doubt spartan would have any of these or support for anything like it. [editline]22nd January 2015[/editline] Also windows 10 is literally perfected windows 8 and windows phone 8. Everything I wanted in both it pretty much has, even down to small design decisions like how the start menu is organized, how it acts when using it as a tablet, etc. The geek hype is real
My only thing is that I live and die on plugins like adblock, QR code generator, ImprovedYoutube, etc. I doubt spartan would have any of these or support for anything like it.
Internet explorer has an adblock But spartan has confirmed addon support, they even said before any signs of a rebuilt browser than the next IE version would have proper addon support, read the news
Any idea how Cortana and stuff will look on vertical taskbars? I have my taskbars on the right side of my screen since vertical space is more worthwhile than horizontal.
Any idea how Cortana and stuff will look on vertical taskbars? I have my taskbars on the right side of my screen since vertical space is more worthwhile than horizontal.
Probably like this? [t]http://5crat.ch/a/s3z2[/t]
Sorry, meant more like the search bar. But I think it'll actually be sort of similar. Guess i'll just have to wait to find out.
Sorry, meant more like the search bar. But I think it'll actually be sort of similar. Guess i'll just have to wait to find out.
Wild shot It would probably work as it does now in preview builds It's an icon like the start button

Alright the start menu looks a bit more reasonable than I expected. All I really want is that context menu style, don't need some dumb shit with "app" tiles and stuff I don't care about like tabloid "news" and the weather.

It's probably best at this point to just adapt or find a plugin that brings it back to Windows 7's start menu. I'm pretty sure you'll be able to change what tiles are displayed (if any) on the Start Menu this time around, though. The Start Screen was fairly customizable with that sort of thing. If you don't want tiles, you'll probably be able to remove them.
Going by my limited experience with the Tech Preview, you can easily do this.
Well there we go, crisis averted. This is the first Windows since 7 that I'm actually considering installing on day one. I do want to know, though, does it have the same graphical issues that Windows 8 had with older games, namely KotOR?

The tech preview probably won't be a good indication as of yet but I imagine its not going to change much from 8. There are just too many changes.
How many people are going to be pissed that DirectX 12 is 10 only? Since 10 is free, I really don't care much.
How many people are going to be pissed that DirectX 12 is 10 only? Since 10 is free, I really don't care much.
I know some people are, but its even less justified than hating DX10 only games because 10 is free for existing 7 and 8 users.
please never use tinypic again and switch to http://imgur.com like all normal people
Off-topic, but the one thing I hate about imgur is the automatic resize, it's fucking annoying to crop a photo for the forums (that thumbnails too small) only to have it enlarged by imgur.
Off-topic, but the one thing I hate about imgur is the automatic resize, it's fucking annoying to crop a photo for the forums (that thumbnails too small) only to have it enlarged by imgur.
I always just link them as [.t][./t] tags, keeps my images small for the forums but full size on the site.
Off-topic, but the one thing I hate about imgur is the automatic resize, it's fucking annoying to crop a photo for the forums (that thumbnails too small) only to have it enlarged by imgur.
I cheat and have ShareX pointed to my own web host using SFTP
I always just link them as [.t][./t] tags, keeps my images small for the forums but full size on the site.
Like said, [t] tags sometimes make images too small (to read, for instance), and I don't want people to need to click the image.
I cheat and have ShareX pointed to my own web host using SFTP
Same but with a url shortened at the end [editline]23rd January 2015[/editline]
Like said, [t] tags sometimes make images too small (to read, for instance), and I don't want people to need to click the image.
I middle click t tags, it's then nicely viewable in a full tab, and vbf's default viewer is shit
Same but with a url shortened at the end
I normally don't bother, because I generally see shortened URLs as shady shit unless you're working with a very small character limit (e.g. Twitter). I know the major URL shorteners support previewing a URL with some simple manipulation (add a + to bit.ly for instance), but I still get nervous as hell when people use bit.ly on Facebook because there's absolutely no reason for it.
