Seems like the scroll bar in the start menu is gone:

Or does it vanish when not used?
I would hope it doesn't show up until you hover over that region. I believe that's how it worked on 8's start screen.

On my installation (and I don't believe it's different from so many other's) it activates if I open the start screen by clicking in the left corner. It doesn't show before I hover over the region if I use the Windows key. Tbh I don't think it fits in, especially with the Windows 10 start menu - it needs to be more subtle.
Did anyone mess with 10074 yet? I guess this is the "insider preview" instead of the "technical preview".
10049 was a little too buggy for me(i know it's supposed to be buggy) so I went back to 8.1.

Ms and CDS are still going around with it

Yup, 10074 seems to have finally fixed all the problems I've been having with the other 10* builds.

Is it true they took about the ability to adjust the volumes of individual programs?

If they took out the mixer... That would be hilariously stupid, and totally a Microsoft thing to do.
I really need to learn english
But I'm suprised that this is a thing

Some people were saying they did since they changed the volume adjustment window.
I just finished installing it in a virtual machine and you can still get it by rightclicking.
Incase anyone isn't aware, in today's build is aero blur
There's a 50% chance of getting it on install (until somone finds the registry to change it I guess), otherwise you get the regular transparency
Looks like I'm in the blur group
Also, they finally removed the 'Peek Desktop' button from tablet mode
Which fucking sucks because I hate not having a desktop, even on a tablet
It's a device bigger than 8 inches goddamn it
The video CrumbleShake posted on the last page shows how to edit it in the registry.

So you can't switch between desktop and tablet mode in tablet mode on a tablet now?
That's weird. I thought that was part of the point of Windows 10 across all devices.

Try toggling the view mode
They gave the Internet Explorer e a hipster haircut. Nice.
Looks like Microsoft released a preview for windows 10 on some ARM boards.

You need a Windows 10 install in order to flash it..

I've downloaded the press kit and it's at the screenshots, i've just cropped the taskbar
I kinda prefer the name Spartan over Edge
For anyone having issues with watching yesterday's keynote VOD, looks like Microsoft's DNS is having issues in some regions. Direct MP4 link still seems to work though!

You can still get desktop mode from the action centre. Scratch is talking about the little button in the way bottom right corner of the screen that, if you hover over it, shows the desktop, and if you click it, minimizes all your windows. I dunno what's wrong with getting rid of that on a tablet since all the tablet mode apps are full screen anyway, but whatever...
Is it true they took about the ability to adjust the volumes of individual programs?
Yeah, it's not as accessible as it was before, you have to right click the volume button. This is just because they replaced the old volume slider with a more modern looking one, but it only shows the master volume, and doesn't have a button to show the mixer. I'm sure they'll get on that, though.

When you close an application, instead of having a desktop, you just have a dark pane above your desktop background. No desktop shortcuts or folders.
I would just use desktop mode a lot anyway, but since the touch keyboard does not open automatically in desktop/laptop mode it's that inconviniance, but then again if I had the keyboard inserted, it would also appear even if It was present.
In windows 8, if they touch keyboard was open and you clicked anything on the physical keyboard, the interface would just slide away
My head hurts, I can't explain it clearly
Just got onto Windows 10 preview, and its really nice.
However I'm running into an issue where the start menu pops up and I can't close it. It pops up during a game and I can't get rid of it and now its just open on the screen.

I'm having the opposite problem :v:
My start menu sometimes just won't open at all

On top of that, I have noticed other context menus, and certain windows/apps won't open either. Primarily, my Windows Update window just closes immediately after opening, and often when my Start menu acts up, I can't open adapter settings from the Network and Sharing Center.
So in the end they didn't really show much of Windows for the Raspberry Pi at all other than that bot which is a shame, I really wanted more details about it, specially if it uses graphical capabilities to be used as a legit machine
You can run a (singular) modern app that's installed remotely from Visual Studio. Kind of frustrating that *everything* has to be done remotely from either VS or Powershell, but I'm sure this will open up eventually.
But since Android can now run through Hyper-V
And and it's applications can be configured for a windows release (continuim)??
Are dual os workstations (for Windows and android) going to die with this os?
Any solutions for the start menu thing? Its like launching a game breaks the start menu
Updating to 10074 just broke my Wi-Fi connection.
Tried reinstalling from scratch - same shit.
Do we even have a windows desktop general?
We should since the Win X threads are supposed to be no good for anything except the current version. There's still a good crowd on 7 and a little bit of one on 8.
