Is anyone else having the problem where some windows like Chrome and Spotify look like they're cut off around the edges? Because I have a fix, but I don't know if it was just me.

Yeah, fix please.
Anyone else completely lost access to the start menu? It just wont open, and hasn't for about a week. Having to use Cortana for everything (Which is surprisingly viable)

I've found that I need to click on the Start button before trying to use the physical Windows key to open the Start Menu. Multiple monitors seem kinda messy right now. :pwn:
I also really wish there was a better SMS app for windows tablets. I mean sure you can send SMS from the operator notifications app but its clearly not what its designed for, and its cumbersome and doesnt link with the contacts app.
I wish toasts show full notification like in android
I wish toasts show full notification like in android
Android toasts dissapear
Windows toasts dissapear, but are viewable from action center
Unless you're talking about regular notifications
I found this post confusing
Finally got my Windows 8.1 installation running on my laptop. High DPI does wonders for this OS, it really does.
Now I should get two Windows 10 license upgrades!
so this is being spammed by bots

A picture of a monotone coloured hand performing a certain gesture is offensive.
So is Edge going to have extension support at launch or no? Because they made it sound like it could be in or it might be patched in.

Honestly using the revert tools is better than doing a re-installation
You did make a recovery drive right?

Honestly, I don't think anyone should make 10 their primary OS, or should at least consider dual booting it with a more stable OS. It's cool to be on the bleeding edge of technology, but it's just all around a bad idea.
Is anyone else concerned about the stability of the rtm? It's supposedly in about two months, but 8 and 8.1 were pretty stable with most of the builds they gave out.

The only thing I found to be relatively unstable with the technical preview is Project Spartan and that's to be expected because it is still fairly young. Everything else seemed to work relatively O.K. Definitely not release quality of course, but it seems like it should be ready when the time comes.
There could be other things that I missed like driver compatibility because I'm using a VM, but it's also a technical preview so meh.
i don't know if anyone else has had this specific error, but i had it for a while and finally just found the solution
theres a holdover issue that actually was in 8.1 too, where if you already have windows.old as a folder, windows 10 will get an error and revert back to your earlier windows install during the PREPARE_FIRST_BOOT phase. if you get that at all, just rename windows.old to something else and it ought ta work like a charm.

i had that several builds ago
only way i could fix it was deleting the account and starting fresh
Holy shit I just realized they made windows act a bit like Macs do with scrolling.
Like being able to have Chrome open, and scroll through that and also scroll through something like code in an IDE at the same time without having to click into them.
What a blessing

They brought that back? Awesome, they had this in the very first release, then removed it in the second.
Just need system-wide smooth scrolling now.

Thank god. That's always something that kills me when I move from a Linux machine to a Windows one.
Man I can't wait for windows 10. Did they fix the alt tabbing interface inconsistencies? Like on some games when I alt tab, the alt tab interface would display this piss ugly windows classic shit.
I think that's something to do with Windows disabling compositing when that game's got the display, to make sure the game doesn't shit itself or something
Somebody said that installing my keyboards proper drivers would fix the start screen issue I have. No luck unfortunately.
I tried to play Modern Warfare, opened the game, skipped the cut scenes, and the keyboard worked. However as soon as I clicked my mouse, the game like opened the start menu and I couldn't get back into the game because it kept closing to the start menu. Weird as fuck dont know what to do

That change was so subtle I didn't even realize it until after installing 10 and using it for a while, then going to work where we use 7 and being annoyed that it didn't work.
I used to use a desktop app (KatMouse) to do the same thing. Glad they've finally nailed down the contextual shit.

I used to use alt-drag for this pre-10

Problem is that you can no longer scroll on modern applications :v:
PSA: Don't try to put the preview on a Surface 3. Atom driver support is shit and it runs like ass.
