[hd]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0ZHJu9380M[/hd] Really looks like it's coming together quite nicely at this point.
Hooray, they fixed the start screen. They made it seem like the hamburger button was only going to be on small tablets when they first showed it, glad to see it on all devices. I don't think it makes sense as a hamburger here, though. That's an important functionality to access, so it needs to have a much, much clearer button. Like the clearer All Apps button they added to the bottom of the start screen in Windows Phone 8.1.2 I think I'll get used to a vertically scrolling Start Screen as well (that was another of my gripes with the new start screen) since now that they're not making their tablets widescreen anymore, and none of the apps scroll horizontally anymore, it probably won't feel as weird.

I don't know if everyone would like this, but I wish they'd introduce a way of holding more than 1 thing in the clipboard, so you can copy multiple things and paste them in any order. it would be useful for me.

What would be the issue with it?
User confusion
User confusion
KDE's Klipper does a wonderful job of it whatever you last hit ^C on is what gets pasted when you hit ^V unless you explicitly go into the menu and select something from your history, and that of course gets overridden if you hit ^C again just put a little pair of scissors in the system tray and people who understand it will use it as they wish, and people who don't will get the same copy paste they've always had
Alternatively Buy Office
Alternatively Buy Office
Nah, they should just put in Windows.
I keep a little notepad open on one of my monitors, so if I find things I want to paste somewhere, I drop them in there. It's a lot more intuitive than having multiple things stuck in the clipboard at once. That'd confuse the hell out of me.

I'd just make a list that pops up and using certain key combos you can select what you want. I'd also like them to add input director as an inbuilt, so you can just place your laptop next to your desktop and use the desktop's mouse and keyboard or if you have more than one PC on your desk you can go between them.
I think most people would be confused by it, and putting a dedicated icon would just be a waste. A little bit of the functionality could be introduced (as a key combo) for power users. Ctrl + V for the most recent item in the clipboard, Ctrl + Shift + V for the second most recent item. Normal users wouldn't think to use that key combo, and thus wouldn't be confused by the functionality. Or maybe Ctrl + Shift + V could bring up the clipboard list, I don't know. Edit: I'm pretty sure Microsoft already made an experimental mouse sharing program. It was posted a few pages back I think.
Ctrl Shift V is already in use [editline]11th May 2015[/editline] Actually that's a linux thing It's alt v
That would be awesome. You hide it away from most consumers and have ctrl+c and ctrl+v behave exactly as before to avoid confusion, with a hidden key combo to get to other pastes. You could also put it in the context menu I guess. Underneath 'paste', you could have 'paste earlier' or something.
Excuse me but I didn't read the entire thread but I do have a few questions. Is there a release date for Win10 set yet? And I tough I red somewhere it was going to be free for Win7, Win8 and Win8.1. Is that true?

Don't know how the upgrade path will be and how it will be delivered, but if Microsoft wants to have a billion devices running 10 in 3 years, it'll have to be short and obvious. Windows 10 is expected in late July/August, or at least a summer launch. Windows 10 for phones will come later.
Plasma 5's actually pretty awesome
I still can't stand plasma 5 tbh.
Was gonna say Ctrl+Shift+V is a linux thing only. Nothing in Windows AFAIK apart from maybe ONE or two programs.
Don't ask what's in the clipboard [t]http://7proxies.pw/i/2015/05/15-05-12_09-52-09.png[/t]
It's like a freaking fireworks show.
what the hell does this even mean
what the hell does this even mean
I find it too flashy and shiny.
But then you have to use KDE. Who the hell wants to do that. I'm wondering if it's worth using Win10 now as your main OS? A lot of people do it and seem to have no problems. I'm not scared of losing stuff or bugs but i never tried a preview build of any windows before. How does it work? Do you automatically get all the updates and new builds as they come out? And what happens when the OS comes out? Will you have to reinstall everything, or seeing as it's free for those with win7, will you be able to simply upgrade it without reinstalling anything? The reason i'm asking is because one of my HDD is failing and has around a month or two left and i want to replace it with a 2tb one. But i want to reinstall everything and start using it alongside a clean win10 install. I'm wondering if i should wait since Win10 seems to be coming out in the summer, or should i just use the preview as my main OS?

Yes, the stuff that comes with KDE all looks like various degrees of crap (oxygen is passable in some aspects, and Redmond was designed to look like Win9x intentionally so), but if you install some third party stuff from kde-look.org or similar, you can get something nice. I could post screenshots of my stuff in the Linux thread if you want
