I seem to have a pretty severe issue with my start menu (it doesn't open at all, neither does the search bar work), after running a refresh on my installation of 10074, due to it booting into a black screen with a cursor and nothing more.
Afaik, the start menu is tied to the explorer.exe process/program, and I think mine might be corrupt. Would anyone be willing to upload their version of the 10074 explorer.exe and share it with me? I don't want to go through another reinstall unless necessary. Thanks in advance.

If you press Win+R and run "ms-settings://" does the settings window open? If so, try creating another user account. When I had this issue last, my AppData folder was somehow corrupt, and a new user account fixed the issue.
Rumor from AMD exec is late July for RTM, so probably the usual October for general release.
Unknown if upgrades from 7 and 8 will be available in July though.
It would make sense if insiders got the update when it went to OEMs too wouldn't it? Else we'd be on an old prerelease which seems counter productive, especially if they intend to have the program always running now.

After rebooting, I couldn't get into Windows at all, so I ended up reinstalling. Everything seems to be working now, but I haven't tried rebooting yet, so... crossing fingers.

Sounds more like DWM or WinLogon being fussy. Could try to safe mode and update your drivers or uninstall them and let Windows drop to the default.
Edit:
Oh didn't see this page, nevermind.

I'll try that if it happens again. When you refresh, do you know what parts it actually replaces? I assumed it was the whole thing, but then it's kinda weird that it would act up even after a refresh (and kinda likely that it could happen again even on a new installation).
Kinda weird, pressing "Show available connections" opens up the Windows 8 Wi-Fi menu (which I honestly prefer to the old one - more consistent with the notifications as well):

Windows 10 seems to hate fullscreen or borderless window games at the moment, and CSGO multicore rendering. The former makes the whole UI hang and I have to reset, the latter makes the geometry flicker, I guess it could be the new Nvidia drivers too but I think I've only had it on 10122.
Any one have news about the new Network Beta since the 10125 ?, I'm in process to install the 10130 i hope the new Network Beta should be available !
So after the latest update taking a dump on itself mid-update and boot looping my laptop, I have gone to do a fresh install of 10 (build 10074). After trying about 4 different USB sticks, one stick always fails to validate the product key, and the others have all failed at some point after fully copying the Windows install files. (Latest error is c0000005)
Anyone have any tips?

That's happened since the new taskbar at least, or is it more noticeable in the latest build?
Seems to be a lot more noticeable.
I have 10122 (currently upgrading to 10130) and it's the same speed it's always been, it's incredibly fast and subtle but if you pay attention you can see it.
Trackpad input delay is pretty bad on today's build
I find that it catches up breifly, jumping position, and it does this about every two seconds when constantly moving it
I accidently discovered that they implemented a Windows Phone style letter jump in the start menu.

Just press any header letters to access it.

They had this functionality in windows 8
It was probably already on the mobile version, but still it's great to see it still there

It was gone for quite a few builds of Windows 10. So while not exactly new, its nice to have it back.
So looks like the latest build just broke the VM it was on.
[t]https://a.pomf.se/ndyegi.png[/t]
been sitting at this for 5/10 minutes now
[editline]30th May 2015[/editline]
Restarting the VM 3 times did fix it.
Really strange. Just be aware if you're running it on a VM.
This is the exact problem I had on my laptop yesterday.
I wish they would release ISOs for fast ring updates, my computer just doesn't do upgrades, they fail every single time and I've tried everything... It's not RAM, I've tried taking them all out but one, still nothing. It's not a peripheral, I unplug all of them when I do installs. It must be a driver problem with sonething internal. Oh well, I guess I'm waiting for the slow ring

Oh thanks sweet, it worked.
This is the most stable build on my PC so far by a long way.
[editline]30th May 2015[/editline]
Wow I spoke way too soon. I just restarted, then everything died so I restarted it again and it went into recovery mode, then I restarted it again and now nothing works. No start menu, no cortina, no notifications, no volume control. Man.
Guessing that the network settings is getting its own app?

Holy shit they fixed the massive ass pixelated icons in the start menu thank you MS

Newegg apparently listed an availability date for Win10 as being the end of August apparently: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100006587%2050001149%2040000368&IsNodeId=1&bop=And&ActiveSearchResult=True&hisInDesc=10&SrchInDesc=10&Page=1&PageSize=30
I really don't think 10 is ready for primetime yet, so good.
Also isn't that Lenovo tablet coming out in August too?

It does seem that way... I wonder why.
Maybe it's the wifi sense stuff, like sharing network passwords with friends, and locating hotspots. Maybe it's for LTE, like data allowance and stuff. We'll find out I guess.

Fucking hope there's a new network connection panel, Windows 8 stripped everything good about the network sharing centre that I was left with a barebones panel
Made doing diagnostic testing a pain in the cunt
Don't really want to install a technical preview, but I'm curious: how's Edge?
