Start button is again unclickable/unopenable. Aside from restarting explorer.exe, has anyone found anything else that fixes this?
Start button is again unclickable/unopenable. Aside from restarting explorer.exe, has anyone found anything else that fixes this?
Have you tried this? i wish they had a "gaming" mode that you can switch to that stops all useless processes that aren't related to the game i have to do it myself via 'msconfig' and command prompt

If you can do without them while gaming, you can do without them at all.
Which processes would that be exactly? If you can do without them while gaming, you can do without them at all.
Exactly, most of the processes are just system services that your pc needs to run. Everything else is optional bloat you probably don't need in the first place.

Also, a Toastmaster is probably not a very good thing to convert to a PC. They had asbestos liners to make asbestoast asbestos possible. Asbestos puns.

I really hope they will let us disable vsync, Chrome has insane scrolling lag and html5 and js stutter like hell. On top of that, everything is just so laggy with vsync on. EDIT: vsync is always enabled with dwm.exe on Windows 8 and there is no way to disable it, so desktop programs will always have input latency and lag. I really hope they change this in Windows 10.
I was just thinking, and maybe someone has already came up with this: Currently we don't know how the Windows 10 upgrade will work. Whether we get a new key or maybe we can use an existing Win7/Win8 key is still unknown. For most people it's not an issue but for those of us who will want to reformat to get a clean install might get left in the dust. Well I remembered that Windows 10 will have an option (Just like 8.1) to just do a clean install in the recovery section. Wouldn't that wipe everything out and essentially be a clean install?

Although I'm sure Microsoft will provide a way to have the license upgraded and paired to your MS account or however they're doing it, then pop out an ISO for you to install clean from, especially considering that Microsoft is said they're going to upgrade the Preview to the RTM version.

Only time ever have is because the PC is too bogged down or the GPU isn't powerful enough to handle desktop composition (10+ year old gpus). I think you might have a performance problem or driver issue.

I've tried updating drivers also, it does not fix. Additonally all windows has about 1% transparency, so windows behind slightly bleed through.

Because if its everything, I think your DWM is a bit buggered up, which is probably why your having issues with it. Certainly not normal.

If I have a youtube video playing on chrome behind photoshop I can see the video slightly through the grey background. I cannot find out what is causing it.
The start menu is showing up on both of my displays, couldn't find a setting to change this. Anyone know how to fix? Edit: Never mind, it's a taskbar setting.
How do I disable game bar?

A further word of caution for anyone considering installing windows 10 on their main phone, don't. I know were all probably aware of this but its worth saying. Turns out it really can render devices useless under some circumstances. I was watching a YouTube video when i got this BSOD. Helpfully suggesting i insert boot media and press the windows key (I can do neither, its a phone!). May be able to recover using the winphone recovery tool, will keep you posted.

They've slowly been adding support to fix more and more different tricking situations. My phone shut itself off during an update once a while back and got bricked, the recovery tool couldn't fix it at the time. I tried again recently and it fixed it.

Does anybody here use a DualShock 4 on PC? Specifically using DS4Windows? The Witcher 3 doesn't pick up my controller, while other games seem to fine? I think it could be related to Windows 10 as I've heard theres been issues with DS4Windows on Windows 10
Try using Inputmapper
Seems to fix it. However it seems to have less options than DS4Windows. Also messed up all my emulator controls :(
It will have to suffice. What options are you missing that DS4Windows has? Also, you can rebind controls (however I don't know how good the feature is)

I wish i knew what was the issue, but my laptop is way too old to try to handle witcher 3 (it can barely handle witcher 2 on low). I just know on Build 10074 and up, sometimes Exclusive Mode/Hide DS4 doesn't work because the System tries to keep the native DS4 controls live.

Not even near Beta, yet, imo.

For some reason, I'm not getting the icon on the taskbar to reserve my copy of Windows 10, I tried looking it up to see why it wouldn't work, and none of the reasons I have. Has anyone else experienced this?
For some reason, I'm not getting the icon on the taskbar to reserve my copy of Windows 10, I tried looking it up to see why it wouldn't work, and none of the reasons I have. Has anyone else experienced this?
Yes, most likely you have an OEM version of Windows (license key is bound to motherboard, comes with pre-made PCs usually) or you have an incompatible driver or something. But most likely the first.
It will have to suffice. What options are you missing that DS4Windows has? Like on DS4Windows I could set up button combos to do things like turn Bluetooth off and all. How do you even turn the controller off without triggering big picture mode. epSXe, the Playstation 1 emulator has some weird thing where I try bind the controls, it just defaults back to some random button, so all the buttons end up being the same. Not sure if its an issue with epSXe or DS4Windows. [editline]11th June 2015[/editline]
Dev of DS4Windows here.
