Use it more, report more bugs, help actually fix it, because if you're just refusing to touch it because "lol its the MS browser" you're actually part of its problems now
feel free to keep using Chrome as a daily driver but part of what you agreed to with the Win 10 insider builds is QA, and that means QA of the browser it ships with
I did actually submit quite a few bug reports.
Anyone else's task manager take a good 3 seconds before being usable?
the last build I used before I uninstalled it was 9841, is it a lot further along than that one now? 9841 was hilariously bad (but I think it might have also been the first windows 10 build so idk).
Well, I have no idea how to set Google as my default search engine in Edge. It only gives me Wikipedia and Bing as options
Got sick of waiting for Windows update to grab build 10161 from 10130.
So I got the iso. Goodbye 10130 you piece of shit
Change the default search engine in Microsoft Edge
To do this, install a new search engineand then set it as your default. Here's how:
1.Go to the search engines’s website.
2.Select More actions "..." > Settings > View advanced settings. In the list under Search in the address bar with, choose Add new.
3.Select the website and then select Add.
•Note: Only search providers who support the OpenSearch standard will appear in this list. If they don’t support it yet, here's how they can. Keep checking back to see who's been added to the list.
4.To set this site as your default search provider, go back to the list under Search the address bar with and choose it.

bought a 250gb ssd just for this OS
if its really that much better than 8.1 then it's going to be like using star trek technology for the first month
[editline]6th July 2015[/editline]
how fast does it boot
Okay this is really annoying and odd
I was watching videos fine on my external HDD, decided to switch to another video (using the Movies and TV app - NOT in the newest build yet) and then, nothing. Those 5 dots flying across the screen and finally an error saying the server couldn't execute some bullshit.
So I assumed the worst, the HDD is on the way out. Decided to copy the video from the HDD to desktop, did it in 5 seconds so that was a bit strange if the HDD is on the way out? Tried opening it again, same issue.
I then tried to load up Drive which is in the my videos folder, and again, 5 dots.
So I tried opening it in VLC, it only plays 2 milliseconds of the video and then it freezes. Windows Media Player only shows the aero background
So literally my laptop won't play videos anymore, and my internet is capped so I can't download the new build. I've restarted the computer 5 times, signed out etc. Nothing
Solutions?

I have the bootloader between 8.1 and 10
Litterally it goes black afterwoods for a fraction of a second then login pane appears.
Unless it's not your default os, then that would add a considerable delay, as it needs to partially boot again

What's wrong with 130?
Is it safe to upgrade yet? Are all the OS breaking problems solved?
I dont want to upgrade oonly for it to break my hard drive
Don't upgrade yet, I have the preview on my tablet and the start menu hasn't worked for weeks
What's wrong with 130?
Everyone on 130 is going to be booted up to whatever their RTM candidate is going to be this week.

What is basic troubleshooting.

The current build is quite solid, but no, it's not "safe". It's still beta software, the next build could be broke as fuck for all we know. Don't install preview software if you can't afford shit breaking and having to rollback/re-install.

Can I just make a new boot partition on my 3TB drive?
Will I be able to delete the partition once its fully released?
i have been using the latest build for 2 days and i havent seen a single bug yet. it seems rock stable to me but you never know..
I'll just stick it to a 64 gig partition. If it's stable I'll just delete it and reinstall on my main ssd

Do you mind to share your knowledge ?
Why is the desktop background control panel so gimped?
Why is the desktop background control panel so gimped?
I personally don't see the point of it, it lacks so much stuff. figured they'd probably add some more stuff to it closer to release to make it on par with the traditional control panel, but that doesn't seem like the case so far
Yeah like why can't I have different backgrounds for both of my monitors like I can in 8?
I found a separate control panel that's more like it is in 8 but it's completely broken.
Do you mind to share your knowledge ?
Does it happen after a fresh restart? Did it happen after an update? Does restarting explorer.exe do anything?
Don't upgrade yet, I have the preview on my tablet and the start menu hasn't worked for weeks
I was glitched as fuck but now it's fixed.
10162 is pushed to slow ring right now.
Besides the few bugs in it, it is a RTM candidate.

Looks like it links to an internal version
took out a bunch of "internal corporate" crap from the URL and got a working link, not sure if users can generate their own OpenSearch docs though

Probably used the name since they already own the rights to it and "groove" is conveniently related to music.
