I wish Cortana was as witty and comical as Siri. Sadly if you ask her to do anything that's not really windows related, she just opens up a web browser and searches it rather than searching herself and telling you. C'mon MS, give me comedy!

I installed Windows 10 preview, but I'm having a bad screen quality. I'm running on 1920x1080 32'' LCD FullHD TV. I can't for the love of god figure out how to fix it. here's a picture
Holy shit Microsoft's done an absolute shitload of lot of optimization with Windows 10. I installed build 10162 onto an old thinkpad netbook I had lying around (with the standard atom n450 and 2gb ram) and it's faster than fucking Windows XP, let alone 7.
Mine snaps into groups of 3 just fine on 10162. His seems to be stuck at 4, though.
It's something to do with your profile, it used to be 4, now new profiles are 3. There might be some way to change it so you can have 2 or 1 or whatever but I don't know if anyone has found the setting yet. Settings -> System -> Display

I installed windows 10 last night via windows update and I only got 10130 I switched the slow to fast thing in windows update and I still haven't found any new updates.

Things like starting a search took quite a few seconds under Win 8, using Win 10 they're nearly instant. Does anyone know how to change that ugly login wallpaper? (not the lockscreen)
I switched the slow to fast thing in windows update and I still haven't found any new updates.
Think it takes a day to register?

No official way atm I don't think.
Hey, has anyone ripped the windows 10 wallpaper from that RTM build? i would like to have it as my wallpaper to anticipate windows 10

Hm was looking at buildfeed.net, new stuff is th2, not th1 or fbl_impressive so Windows vNext assumedly. New build labs appear to start with th2_ not fbl_ also, starting with 10500.
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/preview-iso
Well I mean how is it delivered? Is it tied to the MS account I log into or something? Because I'm already running a consumer preview on another PC but it's logged into an account that used Windows 8.1 as the primary OS earlier.

Would there be any downside to installing 10 preview over my current 8.1 install? Can I keep my files and programs if I do, and is it stable enough that I wouldn't be totally annoyed? I know it comes out this month but my friend installed the preview and it looks pretty slick so I'm feeling impatient.
Is Microsoft going to provide ISOs for people who get the free upgrade?
Maybe if you edit the file located in C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper\Windows it might change. No official way atm I don't think.
Didn't work sadly. Hope someone figures out a way once the final version gets released.
Is Microsoft going to provide ISOs for people who get the free upgrade?
I would assume so. They already provide an ISO for the Insider Preview.
I would assume so. They already provide an ISO for the Insider Preview.
Will the Windows 10 CD key replace the Windows 7/8 key, or will we still be able to use them? So for example, I upgrade my Windows 7 computer to Windows 10, then use the Windows 7 key on another computer.
Can anyone else confirm this? When I was using Windows 7 I was able to switch my audio output between PC and TV as easily as switching the default device. But now when I do this with Windows 10 (10162) it doesn't switch, it stays at the PC output. [t]https://db.tt/IU3rgVW7[/t]
She answers those on PC as well.
I still find it odd that Cortana has been working on windows phone in au for a very long time. Yet still to this day it's disabled here for desktop
I think something went really wrong. Booted up my laptop and was welcomed by a password screen. I did not enter any password and used a local account during installation. [editline]12th July 2015[/editline] Rebooted again and it's gone this time. Weird
Installing on my windows 8.1 laptop now. Wondering what will happen to the installed custom theme...
Where can I get Quicktime for Windows 10? Tried the official one and it basically told me to fuck off because I'm not running 7, Vista(lol) or Mac.
Where can I get Quicktime for Windows 10? Tried the official one and it basically told me to fuck off because I'm not running 7, Vista(lol) or Mac.
I thought it was bundled with iTunes now.
But what if I don't have a need for iTunes? I need quicktime because Nuke requires it for some silly reason.
