But what if I don't have a need for iTunes? I need quicktime because Nuke requires it for some silly reason.
Well I guess Apple says "fuck you" then because I think Quicktime 7 is the last version to have a standalone.
Installed iTunes but still nothing, even after system restart. So..... shit. [editline]12th July 2015[/editline] Thank heavens for Oldversion. Was able to get an older build that won't fuck up if you're not on Windows 7. [editline]12th July 2015[/editline] If anyone else wants or needs quicktime, try using this one http://www.oldversion.com/windows/quicktime-7-71-80-42
Okay so it turned out the custom theme did end up fucking me. Installed windows 10 and my explorer.exe will not run so I can only use task manager, no start menu or anything. Trying sfc /scannow in command prompt I hope it will fix it. Edited: Thank god it fixed it
Soooo something's fucked up. I tried installing Win10 on my Thinkpad 10 (Baytrail tablet). During Windows installation, touchscreen doesn't work so I bought a USB3 hub to plug in a flash drive, mouse, and keyboard. In my infinite wisdom, I also formatted the recovery partition because I expected Win10 to just work. Nope. I set up a local account just fine, but the touchscreen still doesn't work. And now the USB port no longer works whether I plug in a hub or a mouse/keyboard directly. All I can do now is hard shut off the tablet when I'm done staring at the lock screen. EDIT: Nevermind. Through the magic of persistence I figured it out and it's running like a champ.
Any way to fix groove music muting when minimized?
Like seriously the touchscreen works just fine during boot options and recovery. But the instant Windows loads nooooo it's all gotta go to shit.
Any way to fix groove music muting when minimized?
I believe this is an odd error that's been occurring since 8 Fucked how it's not even fixed yet Like even playing the test sound through the popup mixer, if you hide the window during it's play state, and show it again, it will still be playing

[t]http://i.imgur.com/EBBl4d4.jpg[/t] I wonder if MS is gonna address this before Windows 10 ships.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/EBBl4d4.jpg[/t] I wonder if MS is gonna address this before Windows 10 ships.
Bloody well hope so.
Bloody well hope so.
They won't though.
like they care there are still windows xp icons..
Worst case, we do it ourselves. It can't be that hard to force a consistent style across UI elements, right?
"Unify User Experience in Windows 10" *Adds another 4 different styles of Context Menus* Gonna hate myself for that, but atleast Windows 7 was a lot more consistent than the Windows 10 we have now. It's a lot more consistent than Windows 8, but still a long way to Windows 7 consistency. Hell, even the Top bar of the windows have different sizes. I also can't wait until we can fully abandon GDI/GDI+, and go full DirectWrite for most programs.
Bloody well hope so.
That really does not bother me.
What bothers me the most are the duplicated apps :v: [editline]13th July 2015[/editline] Is the Games/Xbox app not working for anyone else?
Xbox works for me.
Has chrome been freezing for like 1-2 seconds upon change load for anyone else since on Windows 10? Been happening since I've upgraded and it's excruciating to do anything that involves loading lots of pages like browsing forums. Edit: Nevermind, was caused by an extension on my browser.
Kinda, but when it does that I get a notification saying the display driver temporarily stopped working. (AMD latest beta drivers)
Kinda, but when it does that I get a notification saying the display driver temporarily stopped working. (AMD latest beta drivers)
It doesn't sound like you get it on every page load though? I get it literally on every page load :v: I don't get the driver stopped working but then I wouldn't because I'm on Nvidia. Anyone else having the issue?

So I attempted a dual boot between 10162 and Windows XP, it hasn't been going well. Each OS refuses to acknowledge that the other is installed. Something curious happened, though. In XP, navagating through 10's partition shows My Documents, Favorites, etc with the respective XP scheme icon :v:
I wish I could have my M$ account logged in for the app store/etc, but use my local account for windows login.
In XP, navagating through 10's partition shows My Documents, Favorites, etc with the respective XP scheme icon :v:
Sounds like desktop.ini right?

They're referenced in a hidden file called desktop.ini (you have to unhide system files in order to see it). Most of the system icons are in a few DLL files, usually shell32.dll and imageres.dll. For consistency's sake, whenever they update an icon, they keep it at the same index in the dll file (or try to anyway). So whether you're on XP or 10, the icon for the Videos folder for example, will be %SystemRoot%\system32\imageres.dll,-189 [editline]13th July 2015[/editline]
Sounds like desktop.ini right?
You son of a bitch. Well my answer is more detailed :v:
I wish the titles in windows explorer/metro apps were centred like in 8, I'm not used to them on the left
startisback++ seems to be stable enough so far.

Found a USB Ethernet adapter in my house, so I can finally upgrade the tablet properly But for some reason, it's now actually fully locked into a TH1 branch, and can't get out of it as changes are not applied, was on fbl_impressive only two days ago shit.
