Does the "Get Windows 10" app quit showing on your toolbar once you reserve?
I can't figure out why but it disappeared, and I have already reserved.
Also, will Windows 10 still download once available or does the app still need to be visible?
I can give information if you ask for it. And no, the Q&A did not help a single fucking bit.

It comes out in a few days, probably why it disappeared if you already reserved.
I don't get it. I'm at 10162 and I constantly get messages that further action from me is required. I click it and it sends me to the site where you can join the Insider Preview but I am already part of it? I can do nothing at this site ? And I can't update to 10240 either.
Just got an update for my nvidia drivers even though I'm already on 353.30
Now geforce experience wants me to reinstall 353.30 through its software
How long have you been on 10162? When I recently installed 10166 it took about 5 hours for me to get 10240. Keep in mind I was on the fast ring too.
Weeks
I had to switch from slow ring to fast ring, then fast ring to slow then I immediately got the update.
[editline]22nd July 2015[/editline]
Also I keep failing a Security Update. Any ideas? It gets to like 60% then reverts.
Windows 10 Mobile 10166 is SO FAST on my 640, holy hell.
The new nvidia drivers (353.54) are out only through Windows update, however a lot of people are experiencing BSOD and refresh rate issues on multi-moniter setups.
Updateing :sax::toot:
Oh cool, they fixed Chrome windows that weren't maximized looking weird on the sides with 44.0.2403.89 m.
Is it better to upgrade to Win10 or do a fresh install? I remember back with Vista it was best to do a fresh install.
It still technically is better to do a clean install but you probably won't have any issues. I used to always clean install just out of fear of things breaking or performance issues but I started upgrading when 8 came out and it's been working perfectly for me so far. On my current machine I went from 7>8.1>10 and everything's working great. Only issue I had with 10 is my antivirus from 7/8.1 is incompatible right now so I'm using defender for the time being.

Can people now see the issue with forcing third-party software through windows update?
so this xbox streaming is pretty good :~)

Problem is we know how to turn it off, but don't know if it will be limited in the home version.
Microsoft are clear on the 'Windows as a service forced update' system, but driver installation is changed outside of windows update
I'm getting an SSD and I want to put Win10 on it. How would I do that if my Win8.1 is on my HDD and Win10 is just an upgrade?

What I did is download a version of the OS where my serial worked (windows 8) and installed it to my ssd
From there, I upgraded it to 10 from ISO.
I don't really recommend doing system moves to SSD if you haven't used them before/had experiance, as you may need to move a lot of shit off the SSD
I still have 8.1 as a bootable option, and all my userfiles are still on E:\, with my video and music libraries being located there instead of C:\users\...

Damn..didn't even think about that. Feel kind of stupid now.
Got that nvidia update through windows update
left and right displays went out
Ran geforce experiance, which updated the application, and then started downloading the specific windows 10 update

Main monitor fell back onto generic drivers lol
[editline]23rd July 2015[/editline]
Need a restart, but busy in a large ftp
will return after lunch

I've had windows 10 switch to the integrated graphics thingie twice now, each time I was left wondering why my games wouldn't load and why performance suddenly was so bad.
It seems to happen randomly but maybe, I think it happens when windows downloads an update, or maybe windows overwrites the drivers?
After I restart my computer I suddenly have the 3d vision drivers on my pc again which I didn't install.
Still failing after restart

Nvidia has some shit checking.
Windows installed a new version, higher than the one that was being sent to me via geforce, with the windows 10 driver
[editline]23rd July 2015[/editline]
If anyone needs a manual download
[url]http://www.nvidia.co.uk/download/driverResults.aspx/86646/en-uk[/url]
change region if needed
[editline]23rd July 2015[/editline]
Alright.
You're not going to like this
It will download even if your driver installation settings are set to no.
Sucking it up, windows update downloaded the update again, and asked for a restart (usually aren't needed for geforce updates but whatever).
Computer shits out two dll permission errors,
manually run geforce experiance, acts like a first run
and from there everything works as intended
Someone needs to sort out their shit
I can see the new Windows Update becoming the reason why people will hate the system.
God Damnit yesterday I updated the NVidia drivers on a Windows 7 pc manually and it still got bsods

Not that surprising, the rest is pretty good, do wish you could turn off the border color around windows, stops me from using 90% of all accent colors.
God Damnit the Intel drivers make it bootloop too. How can you fuck up drivers this bad?

Just fix the theme so that the whole window is accented:

Wow, these nvidia drivers are the best. My second screen is getting screen tearing and other weird graphical glitches like no tomorrow.
Did they even test these drivers before handing them off to Microsoft?
I'm not on the Fast ring either.

My screen get this too (on Linux); for me, it's because my primary monitor updates at 59.93 Hz, while my secondary monitor refreshes at 60.08 Hz; as a result, the secondary display is not v-synced correctly.
