I keep getting popups for Host Process for Windows Tasks has stopped working. I get like a lot of them over night. Any ideas how to fix? Also I have evaluation copy 10162, is this the newest one?
Not true, I installed 353.54 on a Windows 7 laptop from the NVidia website and it fucked everything up.
MIA [t]http://link-removed.xyz/i/2015/07/15-07-24_18-47-12.png[/t]
I was wondering why one of my monitors randomly disconnected and went to sleep yesterday. The automatic nvidia driver update explains it.
MIA [t]http://link-removed.xyz/i/2015/07/15-07-24_18-47-12.png[/t]
Yeah, the day after that when I went to the site I saw 353.30, but I fucking swear 353.54 was on the site for at least a couple of hours. I downloaded and installed it while 353.54 was on the site.
I was wondering why one of my monitors randomly disconnected and went to sleep yesterday. The automatic nvidia driver update explains it.
Yeah exactly what happened to mine when it upgraded. Came back and couldn't get my second monitor on until restart.
So a friend's computer died today, so he just bought an MSI laptop :v: And it had 10 already installed

A decent amount of Pc manufacturers are going to have machines ready for the 29th so I guess a few days in advance isn't a huge fuck up.

Booted up my machine today and the resolution is set to 1024 x 768 with no options of changing it back to 1080p. Nvidia control panel and GeForce experience are completely removed.

I'm reading about the NVidia drivers problems and I'm curious, did anyone had problems with AMD drivers on Win10?
I'm reading about the NVidia drivers problems and I'm curious, did anyone had problems with AMD drivers on Win10?
I'm running on a 5650 (I haven't installed Windows 10 on my main) and while I had some issues back in the early builds, I haven't noticed anything on 10240.
I'm reading about the NVidia drivers problems and I'm curious, did anyone had problems with AMD drivers on Win10?
On 10240 with catalyst 15.7 on my 7950, no problems whatsoever.
Yeah exactly what happened to mine when it upgraded. Came back and couldn't get my second monitor on until restart.
So that's what caused that. Apparently I'm still running 353.54, which would explain why the driver keeps crashing when I'm on Minecraft. Thanks Nvidia.
it actually looks decent
Just don't watch that god awful ad.
Just don't watch that god awful ad.
Yeah I meant hardware wise -- functional with the glowing keyboard thing that ~pc gamers~ seem to like an okay price for the specs and MSI isn't a relatively terrible OEM
When does the Windows 10 upgrade icon usually pop up on Windows 8.1? I just set up a genuine 8.1 installation and installed all available updates on it. So far there is no icon, yet on my windows 7 machine I got it very early.
Do you have KB3035583? Just make sure you run every update you can on 8.1, you may have to have update 1 too.
Do you have KB3035583? Just make sure you run every update you can on 8.1, you may have to have update 1 too.
I do not have that update installed. There are no new updates I can install anymore, except for some graphics drivers that are optional.
That's the one that lets you reserve your upgrade, are you on Enterprise or using a volume license?
That's the one that lets you reserve your upgrade, are you on Enterprise or using a volume license?
I am using Windows 8.1 Pro with a license I got over the dreamspark program since I am a computer science student.
I am using Windows 8.1 Pro with a license I got over the dreamspark program since I am a computer science student.
Try setting Windows updates to automatic and make sure you get 8.1 update 1, I used a dreamspark key on my 8.1 machine and got the Windows 10 upgrade.
Hang on, I do have KB3035583 installed, however update 1 which is KB2919355 is missing.
At the bottom of this page it says
Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 8.1 Update required.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-10-upgrade Once you grab that you should be good to go.
Turns out I meet every requirement even 8.1 update was already installed as the installer just told me. Still no icon, I am confused. Nvm, now it shows up.
Speaking of, pressing Windows 10 icon loads up a window saying "Please wait..." then disappears with nothing starting back up. Icon remains in tray.
15.7 is out, you should definitely grab those.
A little late, but 15.7 is what I meant. Whoops.
My asus touchpad drivers keep getting automatically updated by windows update and the new drivers don't even work and it keeps reinstalling them after I rollback to the working synaptics drivers. Removes all the gesture and scrolling stuff and is a real pain in the ass.
Anyone else getting tearing like this with the new Nvidia drivers? It's only occurring on my second monitor. [vid]http://webmup.com/edc2b/vid.webm[/vid]
