I wish I could use the HTML5 player on youtube but for some reason it's buggy as hell for me on Windows (works fine on Linux). Flash just needs to die
I keep getting the "an error has occurred" or whatever it is. I think it's YouTube centre causing it.
If we even get that, we have no information on non-ref cards at all right now. For all we know AMD made all the OEMs sign a contract that made it so they can't do non-ref designs or some shit.

A gtx 780 is still about the same price, but with less performance than the 290x
Better software though.
I always thought AMD software was pretty good by now, and it's also better at eyefinity. I run 5760*1080
It's barely slower than 290x, and in most cases (new drivers) it either matches or beats the 290x. With the 290x you are spending more money than you should be to make it quieter when the 780ti already has a better mix of performance and silence.
Are you sure that's not the HTML5 player? Because those are the exact resolutions the HTML5 player supports.
Right click and get the adobe flash shit. I force off the HTML5 player because it's an enormous piece of shit that can fuck off.
HTML5 player doesn't work for monetized videos, iirc. And having an adblocker fucks it up too.
HTML5 player doesn't work for monetized videos, iirc. And having an adblocker fucks it up too.
This is not even beta quality, why are they trying to force it onto everyone? Oh right, because Youtube is run by monkeys.
just encrypted my SSD, HDD and added a BIOS password. only problem is that I can't find the option to disable the boot menu. how can I do that? http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P7P55D/ this is my mobo
Right click and get the adobe flash shit. I force off the HTML5 player because it's an enormous piece of shit that can fuck off.
That's because the flash player is also a piece of shit. They had to port the shittiness somehow.
If you guys are getting pissed with the Youtube player why don't you use VLC instead? Any video link can be input into network stream.
I dislike VLC more than youtube.
That's because the flash player is also a piece of shit. They had to port the shittiness somehow.
This is vastly worse. I think it's more an internal competition of who can do things shittier.
You shouldn't have to.
This is vastly worse. I think it's more an internal competition of who can do things shittier.
Has to be. Of all the iterations of Youtube flash players I've seen over the the years, I can't think of a single one that wasn't shitty in some way. Yes, even the pre-Google ones.
I feel like I'm the only one in this thread who doesn't have any sort of problem with VLC whether it's music or videos.
I feel like I'm the only one in this thread who doesn't have any sort of problem with VLC whether it's music or videos.
I don't really have a problem with VLC, but I do like MPC a little better.
VLC is always my backup player personally. If MPC or mplayer has a problem, it's almost guaranteed that VLC will work. :v:

If he clears the CMOS by pulling the jumper, your BIOS password is gone.
If you guys are getting pissed with the Youtube player why don't you use VLC instead? Any video link can be input into network stream.
Because I don't want to copy and paste a link every time I watch a video. And I usually watch more than one video so that quickly becomes a pain in the arse. I just want a non shitty YouTube.
If he has physical access to your computer, a BIOS password is a very small bump in the road. If you want to get a bit paranoid, you could enable an HDD password. That is something that's much harder to bypass.
vlc has gotten a lot better, but i've grown attached to potplayer
If he has physical access to your computer, a BIOS password is a very small bump in the road. [editline]10th December 2013[/editline] You can use a user password in the bios, that will ask for a password on boot.

For some reason I can't output any Dolby Digital or DTS encoding to my sound system, which has DD/DTS decoder, with MPC-HC, so I have to use VLC for blurays. I use MPC for everything else though.
Pepper;43138056']Which is where you padlock your computers side panels on. As I said, if you have local access, all security measures are nul and void.
Yeah, but that would be obvious and he could figure out that he knows that he's up to something, so at least it's a clue.
Then replace one of the case screws with a rivet and glue the head of a thumbscrew to it. If he needs to open the case that badly then he can cut the rivet.
He can get a mobile connection. Atleast here in Sweden 4G connectivity works extremely well in most places, with speeds easily exceeding 30Mb/s. I'd say ~ 200 SEK for a 300GB data cap / month is really worth the price, and I can't imagine things being very different in Norway.
My phone costs twice as much as my cable internet and TV, and I only have 1gb. Unless they have really good plans in Norway, that's not a great solution. :P
