anyone here own an irobot roomba vacuum cleaning robot thing? im thinking about buying the roomba 630 for my parents http://store.irobot.com/product/index.jsp?productId=13081979&cp=2501652&s=A-ProductAge&parentPage=family is it worth $350? its the cheapest one they make and it will be cleaning a house with hardwood floors, tile, and carpets and they own a little dog that sheds a lot of hair
So I have this really weird problem where basically everything becomes a choppy mess. Sometimes it doesn't occur for days on end, and sometimes it occurs multiple times a day, and the only solution for it to go away is to reboot the system. When I say that basically everything becomes choppy, I mean basically everything. Web browsers are really choppy, videos act choppy, the steam interface is choppy, etcetera. 3D applications and games in general work just fine, though.
Install windows 8(1) its the only solution :v:
Install windows 8(1) its the only solution :v:
I know you're not serious, however, I really do quite like Windows 8. [editline]13th December 2013[/editline] Okay, what I said about rebooting being the only way to fix it just went out the window, it suddenly fixed itself I honestly have no idea what may be causing it
My boss of the IT Department in my county really dislikes windows 8. But they use iphone 4s for just mail server usage in it :downs: Which makes no sense since you could buy much cheaper phones to do the job, they won't even utilize the app store or anything else on the phone. Its great to finally do Apprentice in ICT

They're great except that the battery packs with regular use need to be replaced once a year.
irobots are so fuckin cool [editline]12th December 2013[/editline] wait holy shit the same company that makes roombas makes those military bomb/recon robots?

Anyone have an opinion on Starbound?
Anyone have an opinion on Starbound?
I enjoy it so far, but haven't played it enough to give you a solid review
Anyone have an opinion on Starbound?
You should probably wait until it's out of its beta phase, as right now you'll be facing resets, balance problems, and way less content than the release version will feature.
Anyone have an opinion on Starbound?
Good game with a lot of potential. Right now it's just Terraria in space and can get repetitive after the 2nd/3rd tier of gear. This should change once quests and more of the story get implemented.
You haven't been in the IRC have you?
No, I hate IRC.
I don't mind the IRC, its just too damn slow most of the time. [editline]13th December 2013[/editline] Not that I should be complaining, I don't exactly say a lot.
It goes up and down, sometimes it's busy, other times it's a ghost town.
PSA: I found a neat little extension for Chrome called "Invisible Hand" [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/7333627/ShareX/2013-12/2013-12-13_02-06-05.png[/t] When you Google search for a product or go to a store, it will automatically look up prices on other websites and tell you if a cheaper price is available elsewhere.
I got something exactly like that for Firefox. Is neat.
Someone confirm if this is poorly compressed or completely normal: SD video, 24p, 48K stereo MOV container, h.264 compression, 90% quality rate 11 minutes of footage = 18gb video file. That seems grossly bloated. It would take forever to upload.

Something is very wrong for you.
223mbps. Yea, that should be like 23mbps. What are you compressing with?
The default encoding and compression tools included with Premiere Pro 2. I can't find anywhere which still has plugins or additional compressors older than CS2. Upgrading is out of the question right now. Edited: I'm reading out of 20 year old documentation from Avid. I have no idea what I am doing.
Well ditch quality rate, since that's just not... good usually. Stick with VBR or even CBR. You're bitrate is about 30x higher than it needs to be. Better yet, send a screenshot of the encoding window.
What you see is all I have available through Premiere. [t]http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a166/ballsandy/the_usual.png~original[/t]
