Intel's integrated GPUs have been getting better recently. Iris and Iris Pro are pretty great
google plus video enhancing been slow for anyone else today?
Is it normal for my LG G2 to be using over a gigabyte of its ram with no open apps? If not, how the fuck do I control what has rights to be running in the background?
Android tries to prefetch your commonly used apps into RAM (known as a "cached" process). This is entirely normal and is by design. This is why phones with more RAM tend to be extremely fast launching apps. Its not because of more free memory, but because you can cram more apps into the memory. They sit there waiting to be launched. As certain apps request more RAM, it will started killing off those cached processes. You can adjust that behavior if your rooted, but I don't recommend doing so unless you truly understand what your doing.
it's sad that a bloated proprietary client is the most commonly used...
i wouldn't even mind "proprietary" so much if the client wasn't FUCKING HORRIBLE
https://collaboration.skype.com/promotion/ Put in your email and they'll send you a voucher to get skype premium free for a year [editline]17th December 2013[/editline]
If we all got this we could do hangouts on skype instead of g+ hangouts (which is godawful)
If we all got this we could do hangouts on skype instead of g+ hangouts (which is godawful)
I've had more problems with skype than I have with Hangouts. But that's me.
I never really had problems with G+ hangouts.
more often than not my skype thinks my condenser mic is a pair of headphones.
Has anyone here used an HP Chromebook 11? I'm thinking of getting one so I have a sub-7-pound laptop for watching netflix and browsing FP in bed. Is it snappy enough to run 720p video?
i wouldn't even mind "proprietary" so much if the client wasn't FUCKING HORRIBLE
also premium features, it's hilarious
Things I don't get: How people can have their taskbar like this
They're too paranoid to filth up their wallpaper by putting icons on their desktop.
They're too paranoid to filth up their wallpaper by putting icons on their desktop.
Reminds me of the desktop thread where some people would dumb you for having a single icon on your desktop, or the desk thread where you'd get dumbed for having a single stray cable [editline]18th December 2013[/editline] Or using some program to put system info on your desktop Or not having your speakers arranged in precisely 2.1 or 5.1
They would get a heartattack the people in the deskthread if they saw my cables. I got my playstations one trough three plugged in, my tv with a thick three meter hdmi-dvi cable that goes into my tv-uuh computer, speakers, small fridge and some other shit like electric. It's impossible to fix without taping them to the wall and that would just look awful. They're like earphones that fucks themselves up in your pocket.
Corsair 200r or Fractal Arc Midi R2? This is a budget build, using a CLC and I want things relatively quiet.
Having one-click accidental access to anything resource heavy would be my nightmare
1x height taskbar master race.
Having one-click accidental access to anything resource heavy would be my nightmare
My friend used to have a lot of icons on his taskbar, so one time when he was using the computer I just pushed his windows button and quickly pushed 1-0, effectively opening all programs.
You monster
I like the thinner taskbar you get with "small icons" turned on, but I hate how it switches to the really tiny sized icons instead of resizing the bigger ones The small icons are way too small for the taskbar, scaling down the big ones looks a lot better
this is the best imo, with a screen larger than 1080p you don't really need small taskbars to save space
Real man use command promt and windows + run to run programs.
Real man use command promt and windows + run to run programs.
No, they use Linux with command-based window management (and of course launching)
Oh I remember the time before I got an SSD, I had Photoshop pinned to my task bar. Every time I clicked it accidentally and had to wait for a minute for it to open. Nowadays it opens in seconds. :v:
Minecraft on PS3 is actually pretty fun to play.
How did you make it do that?
Photoshop :v:
Vertical taskbars, homies. This is at my work PC, hence all the Office and VS2012 and SSMS and shit. Split across two monitors, obviously.
