apparently one of my GPU's has been running on over 100c in the past days. I've had to take the side of my desktop off just so it won't overheat. think I should invest in a new tower with better cooling

I need to invest in a tower with a proper hard drive caddy and 100% less spider carcasses, but I just find dozens of other cooler, shinier things to buy.
Wow nvidia cards really suck at mining GTX Titan 120 Kh/s.
The first rule of mining is that you need AMD cards xD
For reference, my 7850 gets about 200 Kh/s
Protip: don't put your nsfw images in your pictures library, I accidentally changed my desktop background to be a slideshow of my pictures library and it resulted in tits being tiled all over my 27 inch monitor.
okay I got my WL-330NUL to work! posting this connected via that (ethernet though, still need a wireless card or an adapter). noticed that I had been connected back into the firewall again so he did notice that I had plugged myself into the router. too bad I can't test this portable router properly before I get a wireless dongle. you guys know of one which is cheap and manages speeds up to at least 100 mbps without issues?
God dammit AMD

just noticed something weird. I'm bothered a lot more by micro stutters and general bad performance when playing behind the firewall. is this just placebo? it sounds like it makes sense, kind of, since he can tell if there's a virus on a computer even if it hasn't been downloaded via our network. for example when I've had friends over for LAN, he'd usually come down within the first 10 minutes, give us a printed paper with the computers IP on the network with the exact location of the virus and what file has it. pretty crazy, can a firewall even do that?

Probably was because the virus tried connecting to the internet and got spotted by the firewall.

that makes sense. probably just a placebo feeling about generally worse performance I guess?
that makes sense. probably just a placebo feeling about generally worse performance I guess?
Probably not, if the firewall is doing DPI than you might loose up to 15ms though the firewall messing with you.

Cuda miner makes a big difference. Each of my 580's do 270-290.
Wow nvidia cards really suck at mining GTX Titan 120 Kh/s.
My 560 gets 110... I'm almost tempted to use this as another excuse to get a new GPU, the only other reason is that my card won't do 3 monitors at once, so I'm using my Intel graphics for the third.

Annual VLC Christmas icon has made its appearance right on cue. I find it a nice little easter egg.
fucking bullshit, the box with the router, firewall and switch has been locked. just lost physical access. the lock looks fairly simple though so I might be able to just bruteforce it open using some other thin object

Most pad-locks are easy to rake with a pick.

yeah I thought so too since it's made out of plastic. what bothers me now is that I have to be all alone to be able to do anything now, and I'm only alone on wedensdays and fridays. I know for sure that I can't be plugged in like I've been doing the past week since he's most likely gonna be on higher alert now. really need some wireless thing which is cheap, got good wireless strength and works up to 100 mbps

I think something fucked up
Try cudaminer, seems to bring them up to par with AMD's cards
I don't know what I'm doing wrong but when I try and mine it crashes my drivers, but cudaminer is the only one I could get to work in the first place

since I'm behind the firewall again I can't access most HTTPS sites without our private certificate (paypal works for whatever strange reason). could someone explain to me how this works? this is the firewall "tricking" the connection into thinking twitter is unsafe, right? or is it actually protecting me? this won't happen if I'm connected directly into the router or if I'm connected to any other network. this only happens behind the firewall if the private certificate my stepfather made is erased from the computer
curious on how this works

not all HTTPS sites are affected. the only ones I remember riight now is google and twitter. is this because he's only sniffing those secure connections?

I'm curious, how did you get the text scrolling to look so... vintage? I'm sure it has something to do with the framerate or smoothness but I can't really nail it down

It's probably performing a rudimentary MITM attack by establishing a secure connection between you and the firewall and between the firewall and the website. Because the connection you get is now secured with the firewall's certificate, it's correctly recognised as having the wrong certificate for twitter.
[editline]20th December 2013[/editline]
It's not the firewall "tricking" anything, it's the firewall outright decrypting your supposedly secure traffic.
You just don't so any shit with keyframes. Keep them linear without motion blur.
Why is chrome so fucking retarded when choosing your favorite websites on the "New Tab" page? Why can't I define them myself? Why is it so shitty when it could easily be fucking great? Am I missing something? It almost seems like it's been getting retarded-er the last few months.

It has. Why did they make it so hard to get to the Chrome web store? I admit I didn't install apps a lot, but when i did I was so used to going to the "Apps" page and clicking "Browse for more apps" or whatever the button was.
So is it popular opinion now that chrome sucks ass?
So is popular opinion now that chrome sucks ass?
seems more fact than opinion from what i've heard.
