So is popular opinion now that chrome sucks ass?
It doesn't suck, they've just started a YouTube on it. The New Tab page is shittier than the old one and it's been actually crashing for me, even with extensions disabled. I tried using IE but the text rendering was pretty shitty, guess I gotta give FF a go again.
wonder how chromium is these days?
So is it popular opinion now that chrome sucks ass?
Nahh, the browser itself is still solid, and I prefer it to FF and IE11, but they're just making some stupid ass decisions with it lately. For example the Google search on the new tab screen - it takes forever to load compared to the old one (not very noticeable on my desktop, though), and there's really no actual reason for it to be there with the omnibar being, well, omni and shit.
I've been using Firefox since at least 3.5 was in beta, used Chrome a bit but I've never switched and I feel I have no reason to. Firefox does everything I want it to.
I want to play video games, but I'm using my GPU to mine dogecoins.
Windows 8 is such a piece of shit oh my god. Less and less of it seems to work.
now you know how i feel when i have a problem with windows except i feel that way about windows in general
Windows 8 is such a piece of shit oh my god. Less and less of it seems to work.
It has nothing to do with Windows 8 and everything to do with Windows in general being a fussy piece of garbage.
I want to play games, but my GPU is too busy mining dogecoins.
I want to play games, but my GPU is too busy mining dogecoins.
And that's why I give up mining shit, along with too much uncertainty as to whether this will actually be worth it in the end.
My sister has never heard the term "wall wart" when describing a USB wall charger. :pwn:
My sister has never heard the term "wall wart" when describing a USB wall charger. :pwn:
wall wart? I've never heard that either :v:
Well, you know you're old when...
It has nothing to do with Windows 8 and everything to do with Windows in general being a fussy piece of garbage.
That explains Windows 7 working well for me I guess.
That explains Windows 7 working well for me I guess.
What is isolated cases
What the fuck are you talking about. Windows 8 is working horribly for me and what you're telling me is that windows 7 was just as bad?
What the fuck are you talking about. Windows 8 is working horribly for me and what you're telling me is that windows 7 was just as bad?
He's saying ALL Windows are sporadic and this could happen in Windows 7 too.
And that's why I give up mining shit, along with too much uncertainty as to whether this will actually be worth it in the end.
I'm not mining for any possible profit though, I'm mining to win the world's largest social experiment on how much people are willing to waste electricity. So it's more relaxed.
He's saying ALL Windows are sporadic and this could happen in Windows 7 too.
Right I thought that. Sorry, I just get so pissed off with windows 8 after it ruined me almost and I did it just to get better BF4 performance and it's almost identical. I lost my entire C backup which, was my fault but I did the backup on windows 8 still and it just decided to not copy my users folder. Gave no errors, no prompts. Then my external harddrives just randomly get removed so I have to reboot to get them back. The system feels laggy. Folders take like 2 seconds to open when I double click on them. Even on my SSD and ramdisks. The metro interface has yet to feel useful. Still slowing me down. Files will randomly be physically missing but the icon will still show so when I go to open it or delete it it tells me I need administrator control to mess with it, even though I am Admin. So I have to reboot again for it to open up for me. On boot sometimes it will default to my TV as the display so I have to turn on my TV, go to the desktop, tell it to not use it and then turn it back off. So many things just don't work right.

In other news, I updated my super cheesy 70/80's intro thingy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ah9wc_U5zng&feature=youtu.be I made a lot of cool progress on it.
Looks pretty good but that delay in the beginning is a bit too much.
That's just for buffering during editing. I originally was going to put the PLAY in the beginning but took it out. With music it might work too. Idk, this was just for fun to experiment.
I'm very proud of myself now. after a long and hard fight with the locked server rack, I managed to get in there and changed the cables, all with one brave arm. it was not easy forcing it in there like that, and my arm is very hot and hurts a lot but it was worth it [t]http://u.cubeupload.com/predgd/xezfm4.jpg[/t] victory for the porn consumer!! [editline]21st December 2013[/editline] oh man that's some highres pics of my hand
So it turns out my brother is getting married. He gave us like 3 days notice. He's getting married while we're on vacation up north which means I have to go. Benefit is that my parents are buying me some new camera accessories and I'm renting a 24-70 USM II for the wedding shoot. $2400 lens for 80 bucks for a week. Woo.
I want to get work done on this XPS i'm rebuilding for my friend with the Sempron dinosaur, but i have no thermal paste. Is it actually safe to use shit like peanut butter, toothpaste etc as temporary paste?

At least I know it boots now, I decided to boot it witout paste and it goes to the BIOS fine and sees all the HDDs. I'm impatient but if the stuff is gonna harm the parts then fuck it The paste I ordered could have been here today but it's still at a St Paul USPS facility so I'm thinking monday
