KB2670838 is the update that causes this, apparently the fix is to uninstall but I'm unsure if that increases risks.
My external 2TB HDD has recently started making strong vibration noises now and then.
I'm not sure why this is or whether it's a bad sign, but it did not do this before.
I house my entire collection of photography on that drive, so I want to be sure. I know it's been talked about before in this thread, but I can't remember the name of that HDD health checking program. Anyone care to remind me?

the drive could still be on it's way regardless of S.M.A.R.T checks, google around to see if it's a common symptom with your drive model and if it has a negative effect on drive health
