Since when does sourceforge wrap installers in some garbage thing that tries to get you to install the Ask toolbar?
Since when does sourceforge wrap installers in some garbage thing that tries to get you to install the Ask toolbar?
All the well known download sites are doing it now. CNet, SF...
My HP N40L backup box's motherboard just died. :suicide: I'll just have to use my AMD rig.
gaaah is it me or is it impossible to find a highend card on a generation or two of cards lower in australia at a retailer. i want a GTX 560 equivalent AMD card but they're all at least 100$ above the price of this GTX 560 I bought a year and a half ago look at this, it's all they have there is nothing there equivalent to the 560GTX without it being more expensive. such is the troubles of not being able to shop online
Why cant you just get a 7790. http://au.pcpartpicker.com/parts/video-card/#sort=a6&c=131
I'd honestly probably go with a 7850 seems more equivalent to a 560. It's a bit more powerful than a 560, the last thing I want to do is downgrade. but they don't sell anything equivalent/better in the 7 series without it costing a lot more. there's only one 7850 I found and it's 200$ why is it so expensive, is that the normal price and i'm being silly or what. hwcompare says a 7790 suffers in areas compared to the 560 except for power usage and texture filtering.

Which makes them almost equal in performance if you want the best value thats a good choice too. With them you get better multi monitor setup, amd mantle. Very good at mining if you are into stuff like that. Good for openCL supported applications. Otherwise a 760 is a pretty good choice, you then get shadowplay, physx, g-sync, cuda for cuda supported applications etc.
Why exactly does does Engadget and TheVerge even bother to review hardware like the Mac Pro? http://www.engadget.com/2013/12/23/apple-mac-pro-review-2013/ The review is basically a joke, and it's like they used no time at all actually testing the unit. She makes some comments about the heat, and shee doesn't even go further than making a subjective analysis consistent of "yeah, the air coming out of it is pretty hot" - I mean, it takes literally 30 seconds to download and install a program monitoring thermals. I mean christ fuck.

-SNIP, dual gpus are a thing-
The titan is a single GPU card instead of a dual GPU card though. [editline]23rd December 2013[/editline] Same with the 780ti
so by dual-gpu you mean basically 2 gpus merged into one? well that explains it [editline]24th December 2013[/editline] shit i had a brand idea get AMD gpu, put it in my computer, play games on my GTX 560 and mine on the AMD GPU i need to do this as soon as possible

Some guy came into my best buy the other day asking if his Windows 95 computer can run modern games like Battlefield 4.
Some guy came into my best buy the other day asking if his Windows 95 computer can run modern games like Battlefield 4.
Reminds me of a laptop someone bought in to the shop. They bought in the laptop complaining that it "stopped working" and wanted us to fix it by the end of the day. While it was being booked in, a puddle started forming under it on the counter, this is when the customer tells us that they dropped it in the washing up water, asking if it would have anything to do with it not working.
Some guy came into my best buy the other day asking if his Windows 95 computer can run modern games like Battlefield 4.
I too work at best buy. what department you in?
It's a joke cryptocurrency it wont last very long give it 2 months it will be worth absolutely nothing.2
It's already worth absolutely nothing $.000000000017 or so, each. Thousands of them still don't really count as currency. (I may be a few orders of magnitude off)
There we go then people. Doge coin died in a fire.
This is the most its ever been worth.
my quest for porn just got a lot worse. he changed the ethernet cables to a pair of a lot longer ones which he has tangled into the server rack. now I can't move those cables anywhere near the router, and I can't reach the new ethernet ports he attached them to either. I can still reach (barely) the port where I receive my connection from though, so I might just unplug it and plug in one of my own ethernet cables. I'm running out of options soon
move away from home
